Something else to ponder, Tom during the murder was wearing the Red polo shirt, boxers and a gold watch. Do you sleep in a polo shirt or watch? If your child was being attacked would you stop and put a shirt on?

The back of the bedroom door was covered in blood. The beating took place in a closed room. So neither MM or TM tried to leave? Did they close the door? When TM entries why would he close the door behind him? Wouldn't he tell Molly to run? The bedroom pictures show a bed that had been slept in. It shows a charging IPhone, the light was dim. Did they wake Jason? My opinion the atrack started in the bathroom. In my opinion Jason was trying to flee and flee the room. His body was found near the bedroom door.

All my opinion after hearing two afternoons of testimony.
Wow, didn't like to nag you for your view of it all but that's so interesting. Thanks

The blood patterns show the vacuum had been knocked to its side. The dried blood pattern proves that. It had been moved before EMS arrived.

Molly was wearing a blue and white tank top and matching pajama bottoms. She also had a gold bracelet on her right arm and her wedding rings. She had no blood on her clothes or hands. She did have a small amount of blood on her forehead.

I don't think they tried to vacuum. The cord to the vacuum was photographed in the largest blood stain on the carpet. In my opinion Jason was likely laying on the cord.

Cpl Clayton Dagenhardt on the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said when he arrived he found Mr Martens inside the home with Ms Martens. Cpl Dagenhardt said Mr Martens was still wearing a shirt and boxers when he arrived.

Thanks Harmony. I see no tweets from today. Court in recess today or are all 3 listed tweeters taking a 3 day weekend?

Cpl Dagenhardt said he walked into the house, took a left, and went into the master bedroom where he found Mr Corbett’s body on the floor, face up. He saw blood on his face around his eye and on several areas of his body. He also saw blood on several of the walls, including leading to the bedroom’s bathroom.

Cpl Dagenhardt testified that he and another officer went to collect Jack and Sarah, who were asleep upstairs.

Cpl Rusty Ramsey said he joined Cpl Dagenhardt in bringing the children downstairs, having carried Jack from his bedroom to the basement.

My interpretation of the information above is that the home had three levels: a partially underground basement, master on the first floor, and bedrooms on the second floor belonging to the children. Is that incorrect?

I heard Cpl Dagenhardt's testimony. Yes TM had on a red shirt and boxers. If the Martens are telling the truth, my question is, Do people normal sleep in their clothes? Do people normally sleep in watches? TM has confessed to killing Jason. Did he rush to save Molly, but first stop to put on a shirt?

Yes I think we will hear a lot more about the blood pattern and the dried areas of blood. I think reading the evidence of sustained injuries the last few days Jason may have bled out completely. He hadn't a chance to survive really imo with the head trauma. And the thing that strikes Me most is, he may have tried to escape the assault but we have seen no injury on either to say he fought back which does match the character friends and family portray.

Horrific death imo.

Yes, that is correct.

Ok thanks, so this rules out mm or tm carrying blood on their feet down the stairs to open porch door. But doesn't explain why there was none leading to the room itself from the porch, not that has been presented so far.

Imo

Momtocatieandtwins---thank you so much for your insightful posts from the courtroom. It gives us a new perspective...

Questions I had after leaving the courtroom.

Who brought the paving stone upstairs? There were many photos of the stone. It was coved in blood and had hair on it.

The prosecution gave a detailed look to the home. The jury was shown pictures of the upstairs bedrooms, the living and kitchen areas, the basement bedroom and the master bedroom and bath . Where do the upstairs bedrooms come into proving guilt?

In the basement bedroom I only remember seeing 3 phones. Two were smart phones one a flip phone. There was a red iPhone on the nightstand in the master bedroom. Why was 911 not called earlier?

Who did TM call after the Ambulance had arrived? He was reported to be outside on a cell phone. Not a home phone.

A moment for all of us to take in, in a photo of the stairs there was a Barbie doll. Not important to the case, but a reminder that children lost their father and there are real people mourning the death of Jason.

Did the paving stone covered in blood & hair look like the ones in the picture behind the house? Same color & shape? Or a different type of paving stone?

The Master bedroom is very close to the front door. The stairs going down to the basement are located in the kitchen. The master bathroom is located over the basement bedroom.

That lends itself to their story that he heard screams, I still imo think they were Jason's though.

It did appear to be the same. It appeared to be the same shape. It was covered in blood. I am not sure of it's original color.

My question is, if they heard screams, why did they not call 911?
Yes true, I'm having real problems trying to seperate tm from mm in deciding their parts in the assault. From the very start I always thought it may have been mm work covered by tm but as you said, three in the house no 911 call. I think it would have been easier for me to apply evidence to scene and defendants and try make sense of it if it was murder 1 charge.
