2011.01.05 Hearing TES Volunteer Computer Subpoena

I think Cindy is the lead attorney on this and JB is her lackey. LMAO

You know what would be really totally awesomley the coolest? If Team Baez focused on finding the dastardly kidnapping Wonder Nanny. I mean, that's what his client claims happened, so I'd assume finding her would be far more important than wasting taxpayer's, and HHJP's time by asking for a subpoena for pictures that might, possibly, could...hey, your honour, it's an *IF* but blogers say these pictures could exist.

For those who want to see todays hearing - I will upload it to my computer (runs in real time) and the commentary (Lera and I will check the poll and she will decide what to post!) so if all goes well you will get to see what you missed.

Something tells me I need to learn youtube! LOL

awww, really? I thought about playing nice and sending him the lingo list - no subpoena necessary. :D

:seeya: I would like to volunteer to edit that list ... you know just to "change it up" a bit ! :D

I thought about that and frankly with how many nut jobs out there, I wouldn't put it past some people once they heard the name, they went and did a legal name change to the nanny's.

I don't know what he thinks these pictures would help him with...besides, I thought he already had the "aha now I understand" moment in store for us...I really can't wait for that one.

Maybe Judge Eaton left while Mason was telling HHJP he was busy with other trials and he would have to look at his schedule to see when he could fit HHJP and another hearing in.

HHJP just sighed and nodded - while I was rolling my eyes so hard I almost tipped off my chair.

Oh yah, tell the chief judge, who has to be all over the map with his responsibilities, plus his volunteer work with the Innocence Project, that you as a Defense Attorney, will see when you can "pencil" him in.

Why doesn't this courtroom have a hook that can just reach out and drag him out of there with this kind of disrespect! :tsktsk:

I hear you.

It's just funny (but not really) how Baez is willing to throw anyone under the bus, yet hasn't, to my knowledge, bothered to look for nanny. That's his clients official statement, and IIRC, she hasn't changed it. Not really funny, I know, but the invisi-nanny will be the elephant in the room come trial time and he hasn't addressed the issue at all. I think that's weird. He's going to have to come May, imo, because KC is on the 911 tape saying the nanny kidnapped Caylee.

I would just die if ICA took the stand...no way I know, but with JB you freaking never know. LMAO

BBM (bolded by me) but for CM (best buy for manana)

This article describes a case I think JB would like to use somehow..
but wouldn't ICA have to get on the stand to bring it into play?

In 1998, Lykkebak represented a topless dancer, Rachel Reed, 22, whose 1-year-old daughter and a playmate had drowned in a pool after wandering into the backyard while Reed was asleep. Prosecutors charged Reed with manslaughter.

Eaton presided at her trial. After hearing only the state's case, he granted a judgment of acquittal, finding Reed not guilty. If Reed were convicted, the judge said, then any parent whose child was ever hurt or killed during a moment of inattention could be put on trial.

Hope this is only 10%.

I'm certainly a huge fan of his, too. Someone should create a HHJP fan page on Facebook, so that those of us that are on there can join. :rocker:

That might be bad. Very bad. Only because you could easily give the defense a very easy avenue to search and find out the real identities of WS members.

Based on JB and companys propensity to go after the wrong people and go on ridiculous fishing expeditions I have no doubt he would spend countless "investigative" hours researching every fan on that page. It's the best thing he's got because frankly he doesn't have anything else.

But I do love the idea of a HHJP fan page, but only if the defense couldn't get access to it.

He would be a complete [unusual person] if he got her on the stand. I inserted the unusual person to help Beach out.

I would love to see it as well.

No, they could try to insert the doubt without her....if they successfully suppress the computer searches, duct tape, phantom heart sticker, 31 days thing, partying photos after Caylee's gone, cartoon with the hanging teddy bear, Diary of Days, and I'm sure I'm missing some things that point to premeditation/lack of concern.

Buena suerte, JB.

Have we seen any reports that say Judge Eaton was actually sitting in the courtroom? I know there was a lot of discussion here but I haven't seen any comments in the media.

When I heard Perry say that I was just thinking that Eaton stuck his head in the room to waved goodbye much like I did the last day before I retired to all my co-workers that were in the middle of something.

Then I concluded from Mason's remark that Mason wasn't aware the Eaton was actually leaving that day for good.
JMO

You could very well be right here. We have no evidence that the Judge was there on the request of CM -- he could have been in the courthouse, saw this hearing going on and came in for a minute or two. When he decided to leave, JP might have just made a "funny" at the expense of CM. That's all. It could also explain (well, not much to explain it...) but it could explain CM's confusion. He really didn't even know the judge was there, until JP said something. JMO

Whoah .. I missed this whole interaction Monday between Judge Eaton, Judge Perry and Mason ... will definitely be re-watching the hearing ...

From your links:

O.H. "Bill" Eaton Jr., the 18th Judicial Circuit judge who ordered a new trial for convicted murderer Joseph "Crazy Joe" Spaziano and later cleared the way for Florida's first lethal-injection execution, retired Friday after 24 years on the bench.

Eaton, 67, of Sanford, became a nationally recognized expert on the death penalty and taught other judges from across the country how to try those cases

Also, interesting are some of his published articles:

Conducting the Penalty Phase of a Capital Case, Florida College of Advanced Judicial Studies, 2006
Conducting the Penalty Phase of a Capital Case, National Judicial College, Reno, Nevada 2006
Capital Punishment: An Examination of Current Issues and Trends and How These Developments May Impact the Death Penalty in Florida, 34 Stetson L. R. 9 (Fall 2004)
Discovery of Public Records In Capital Cases, The Florida Bar Journal, April, 2002

yeah could be Eaton heard that sanctions would be heard, and he was curious. Not often an attorney gets hit with that.
