This is painful. Despite my annoyance with HHJP after the last hearing, for allowing this non-expert witness to testify, I do understand why he is and I commend his patience. I however, am all out.

Only because this isn't the place to bring it up, if he is allowed to testify at trial (unlikely) then his past problems could be bought in.

they are different unless you are comparing similar circumstances from what you are looking at it is difficult to draw conclusions?

JA: you read papers correct? if you actually had experience in working and researching in this area, you would be in a better position to interpret these studies, isn't that correct? wouldn't you agree if you had done something more than reading papers you might understand more about these compounds?

no. based on testimony i have been careful to limit myself to the materials I have read.

JA - if you actually had experience in working in this area of science - you would agree you would be better able to answer to these studies. . .
wouldn't you agree if you actually researched, done some actual work in this area - done something more than just reading the papers - you would be better able to understand compound analysis in one paper and another.

ja asking (third time now due to objections) that if he worked in the areas he may be better able to understand the content of the papers he read

logan said no and that he has been careful not to infer... if he had done similar experiments he would be prepared to go further in his statments

I think they underestimated how smart the SA is in the scientific field as well as their witnesses.

JA was the first prosecutor in the country to get DNA admitted into evidence. He knows his science in regards to criminal trials.
