I didn't know much about this witness before he started testifying. Dr. Spitz has had a long and impressive career as a doctor, medical examiner, and professor. I'm very curious to see how his opinion about Caylee's death differs from Dr. G's.

You really should familiarize yourself with his testimony in the Phil Spector case. :D

Going back a bit, because I am still somewhat stunned by what happened....

Now that the previous witness has seen JB's tactics and games, to the point that contempt was discussed, do you think he will be more favorable to the state on monday then he would have been today.

District of Columbia, meaning Washington D.C. .... like the jurors wouldn't know that. Hopefully they take note he's not licensed in FLORIDA!

Why is the state being blamed for the defense violating the rules of criminal procedure? Why should the state not seek the death penalty in a death penalty state when they meet the legal requirements involved? Ultimately it is for the jurors to decide her fate.

The legal requirements necessary by the State are not to be confused with the merit of aggravating circumstances - that is solely for the jury to determine.

This is not going to end well for the good Dr., IMO.

Also,CM is taking his time on this portion and I bet the Jurors are NOT happy about it.

Evil people helping other evil people. Anyone "helping" Jose...he should be worried about their motivations. Does he count on people being good? :dunno:

Well, since he has been all over the news talking about it, he doesn't think they can prove murder. jmo

I am worried about Dr. Spitz. His age and experience would make me sit up and take notice as a juror. I would believe anything he says.

Unless they know about Lana Clark shooting herself in the mouth. Didn't he autopsy Anna Nicole too? I seem to remember something hinky about that too.

Reading back a bit through the thread, I'm seeing that Dr. Spitz has been giving television interviews and people suspect this might be the sequestration violation that was mentioned. So I'm wondering--if he gives interviews, but doesn't watch the testimony, would that be a sequestration violation?

Now that is interesting - that is the very reason I would tend not to put too much credit to what he is saying. The world has changed dramatically in the last 40 years - we have experienced such technical changes and growth I don't believe he could have kept up - given his age and attitude.

That would be my view, logicalgirl. From what I have witnessed, older professionals may be experienced but they refuse to change their view on the advancement of their science, technology and society in general. IMHO

Wonder how long before CM brings up how he can't hear???

I hope the jury is already bored listening to the list of credentials. They want to hear testimony about Caylee's death.

It was personal when Casey murdered Caylee. The State bringing the murderer to justice is not personal. My opinion is very personal.
