I hope the jury does not hold these delays against the state.

IMO they have got to realize all these delays are the DT's fault since it's the DT's turn for their CIC. I really believe they have Baez's number.

It is clear that Jose Baez told his witnesses not to write comprehensive reports. What good would a deposition be if the State doesn't know what their opinion is? It has happened too many times to be a little error. Who does he think he is playing with? His client is the one suffering. What is he not thinking with his games?

Judge Perry and Mr. Ashton are at a huge disadvantage in trying to move this trial along professionally. Baez simply doesn't care and isn't afraid of any punitive action. He is fully prepared to continue the games and cry that his client was biased against and he was unfairly treated. I wish HHJP didn't seem to throw the SA into every reprimand which is clearly only applicable to the DT so as not to seem biased, but I trust he knows what he is doing.

As much as I love HHJP, it really does seem like he is in awe of Mason sometimes though; chuckling with him at the side bars, allowing him to talk down to the judge... Maybe it's just me...

On the WFTV feed, attorney / commentator Bill Sheaffer just pointed out that Casey having been put in a chair about eight inches lower than all the others is "by design", to make her appear smaller.

Every day when Casey sits down, she lowers her chair as low as it will go. but appearing smaller does not take away her facial expressions. So it's an epic fail. imo:rocker:

Baez, during the State's case, would show up w/o all the files...so they had to appease him and his wishes or rearranging witnesses. The day State closed, DT wasn't ready at the time because they didn't have witnesses ready. Now he is doing the same again.

....another referrel to the bar..no biggy. Strickland already did that to Baez...didn't mean a thing.
