Why do I have the Murder, She Wrote theme in my head? I'm serious here.

Stop laughing at me.

I almost feel sorry for Dr. Bock. JA is going to destroy her.

I hope not. I think it would be a mistake. This botanist has a limited opinion. She is limiting hr own opinion. And JA already knows the answer to her opinion of maximum time -- if it is relevant or useful, he will ask.

No need to destroy her, imo.

JA now going where I went...what about flooding? Storms? Etc.

Bock to JA: I don't know what you mean by "frequent".

who knew we'd learn so much about squirrels, pigs and tortoises?

Jebus I live in subtropical HI and roots and stuff don't even grow that fast in 2 weeks here. And trust me carp grows fast here.

From my own experiment. Last summer, I sat a plastic bag of shavings on its side and left it there for three weeks. Not one root even attempted to break the surface. I must have really timid roots.

I'm actually kinda interested in the food habits of a tortoise, how selective they are with their diet and all that. But I'm not too sure it would have anything to do with the trial.

Is this the 'expert' who forgot to bring her 'Indiginous Plants of Florida' book with her at deposition?

2 weeks?

Good Lawd have mercy!

  • #715
I agree, she's a good witness.

The reason she is not,IMO ,is because her knowledge of the plants at the site comes from looking at books. She has never studied them up close and personal.

  • #716
Oh please! Roots grow there in 2 weeks in December. I lived in FL, this is not possible IMO

  • #717
Her answers are consistent but his questions are telling a much better story

  • #718
Roots could grow into bag and bones in only two weeks? I'm NOT buying that, Dr. Bock. Sorry.

  • #719
Two weeks? I don't think so. This was Caylee's Winnie the Pooh baby blanket.

There were also roots growing through Caylee's bones, her hair and holding her mandible in place.

Hoping JA keeps his demenor toned down on cross with bock. Kicking the crap out of Dr S is one thing but . . . nobody wants to see a grandmotherly type slaped around. Just saying.

The DT should scramble to find all the elderly female experts they can find. That is about the only way they can take him down a notch.
