Me thinks there's a lot of judging going on . . .

Because they loved her (at least once) and they feel responsible.

And, because the future of facing all those empty places at the table is probably quite overwhelming to them.

However, I don't think they should lie or take blame for her, but to tell what they know on the stand and then plead for her life in the penalty phase.

I tend to think the jury would be sympathetic to THEM, not her, and most probably vote LWOP.

Because to them their family has already lost one life and no matter how evil their daughter is, it's not worth that family losing another life.

I've got to say, I am amazed she has been this calm this long. If *I* had to sit at that table day after day for weeks, even without the "benefit" of three years in jail, I would NOT be able to sit quietly. She must be medicated, if mildly.
