It's a shame that Baez is such ineffective counsel. It just leaves the door open for appeal and the FL residents will have to bear the burden of cost for another trial.

I really hope the Jury recommends LWOP. We've all heard what happens to child killers in prison. ICA needs to live a long, hard life behind bars because of what she did to her baby girl, Caylee, IMO.

I think you're entirely correct. The A's would have a very tough dilemma:

If we support ICA and Caylee (who of course had no control over her own birth), then we might also enable ICA's destructive behavior.

Perhaps, after Caylee's birth, the A's could have supported Caylee's needs under careful controls, then if ICA did not show good faith, boot her out and get legal custody of Caylee.

I would expect what is resonating loud and clear is the number of times George has mentioned Cindy, Lee and himself as being devastated by Caylee's disappearance and death.

My boss just called asking me to come in and help with admissions today (I'm an RN). The whole building knows I'm watching this trial. She said she'd let me off this weekend. When I told her no, the trial might go late, she started yelling at me "you are no longer my favorite supervisor! you come tell these little old people that the trial is more important to you than they are!". So then I asked for Friday off in case they do closings that day. her response?

George has been many things in the past -- henpecked, complicit in covering for KC's lies, in gross denial, weak.....

But to watch this human being tortured and have his soul exposed and ripped to his very core is absolutely atrocious. I know that only a demon filled sociopath could watch this happen after telling him to his face that he was the "best father and grandfather there was"!

I have to say, I am more convinced than ever that KC needs to be put to death. It is the only way that this family won't have to live with the fact she has destroyed them -- WILLINGLY and EMPHATICALLY and beg for future jail visits with her (only to be shut down again and again). With her gone for good they can heal the gaping wounds she has left in them. They can move on with life as best as they can. Not that they will ever forget her, but they won't have to see her and relive their pain every single second of the day.

She absolutely has convinced HERSELF that they are all responsible for this -- not her. THEY made her kill Caylee.

This monster is Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer and Aileen Wournos all wrapped together. There are NO WORDS in the dictionary (and never should be) for someone as deranged, detached and murderous as Casey Anthony.

Don't forget Diane Downs. She wanted to eliminate her children because of her lover, and so did Susan Smith.

You know, I prayed last night that Caylee didn't suffer before she passed away. I asked the Lord to help me accept the fact that there are people on this earth so heinous that that they can kill their own child. I have never had children but I would've taken Caylee in a heartbeat. She was such a beautiful, precious child and she deserved so much more than the family she was born into.

It's painful when you think of all the people who cannot have children, and who would make wonderful parents.

You have to wonder, why? Why are people who are awful parents, the ones who are blessed with children?

There are no answers that can satisfy.
