Of course George did and does feel guilty. NORMAL people feel guilt even when they haven't done anything bad. I feel guilty myself for the death of Caylee Anthony and wish I had had superpowers or something to prevent what happened!!!!

  • #2,782
Bill S says normally note would not come in because it could be self serving since no suicide and because witness state of mind not at issue....but in this case....thank you JB

:takeabow: JB, the DT has screwed this up to a level I can NOT even begin to fathon, anyone on the jury that can for a mirror is going to vote guilty, everyone :gasp: there isnt' a mistrial at this point and the DT can get a good lawyer, say she drown, ICA panicked and she WALKS, collective prayers :praying: we get to see the nuclear meldown when the word GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY echoes next week!!!:nuclear: Group hug peeps, let karma come shining through...:toastred:

I am so with you on this one Bon - this man is in so much pain it is terrible to watch.
I also think and hope it will be cleansing for him in the end.

I agree with you 100%. He is a strong man

Don't understand the judge helping JB out here re the suicide note.

Totally confused.

He is covering any appeal issues.

I got here this morning in the middle of the judge questioning about the suicide note, and about 10 minutes later went to a short recess. Did something major happen with George this morning????

Don't understand the judge helping JB out here re the suicide note.

Totally confused.
He wasn't helping him out. He was letting Baez know that JP KNOWS the whole reason Baez brought the suicide up was to imply that George was feeling guilty about his involvement or about possibly molesting his daughter. By doing so he made it fair game.

 Emerald. Baez has stooped to a new low. Suicide is an unbearable type of grief for those left behind. I see this in my profession and the survivors are in a horrible state of guilt, pain, and wonder why they couldn't stop it.

The fact that Casey is so heartless that she can put her father through this goes to show that without one doubt in my mind she would have killed again. She has no boundaries. Her own flesh and blood the people that gave her everything.

It is a despicable act. She has only gotten more sick and delusional in jail, that is where she needs to spend her life before she kills again.

I continue to be in awe of the depth and bredth (sp?) of the SA's dedication in preparing for this case. It would appear thus far, they did not miss one tiny detail.
:blowkiss:

it will be introduced during rebuttal (hhjp wants time to contemplate if he will allow it)

Was refreshing to see HHJP ask JA if he would be introducing that letter in rebuttal and when JA answered yes the judge was able to take JA at his word.

I have such a very difficult time watching the complete and total destruction of GA by his daughter. I have always been so close to my father (mom too, just not as close as daddy). I was raised in a military setting and was taught to honor and respect my parents, grandparents, guardians, officials, etc. I can quite honestly say that I have never in my life witnessed until this case such a blatant lack of respect and regard for any person other than herself by this defendant.
I heard on HNN yesterday that she supposedly sits in her cell and reads her Bible all the time? Maybe they need to check within the covers of that Bible because I don't believe for a second that she has retained anything from within those covers other than air.

Casey Jordan - GA is coming across as a sympathetic person, JB is coming across as a bully.

Devil's Advocate here people........

She is accusing him of sexually abusing her, of masterminding the cover-up of her daughter's death, of lying about it all. Why would she cry because he is crying? I can honestly say i would not cry either if that were the truth, i actually would smile a little at the show he's putting on.

like i said, devil's advocate. This trial is the best soap opera i have ever seen.
I'll say it again, though, that she did cry with Lee when he cried on the stand. And she accuses Lee of abusing her also. In addition, Lee was claiming to cry because he was left out, whereas GA is seeming to cry because Caylee is dead.

For some reason, listening to George this morning brings a line from the movie Second Hand Lions to my head.

Hub: Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good; that honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; that power and money, money and power mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil; and I want you to remember this, that love... true love never dies.

this is what defense atty's do every day all over this earth .

Watching this makes me feel that our judicial system needs improvement!

Listen to how stuffy he is...yeah he's really faking it.

  • #2,798
I think that in a back-handed kind of way he was stating why the DT doesn't want the note submitted--because it doesn't support that interpretation. (At least I hope that's the case....)

Yes, that and clearly Baez just did what he did not want JA to be able to do, address GA's state of mind. I actually found this very clever of the judge and thought he got a little kick out of it. He showed Baez exactly how he opened the door. :great:

I believe that JB is one of those people that loves to be hated. In his mind, oh well at least I'm well known. I would bet in his mind Tom Cruise will play him in a movie and he then will be.. loved and seen as Tom Cruise.

Why did he stick with her? For her benefit? NO, for His own benefit.
He's a glory seeker not an officer of the court.

Following the $$$$$$$$$ after this is over.

JB is in it for $$$$$$$$$$ that is to come
