He went home to get a jacket and headed to the trail.

Ok can’t find it now but I read that he was wearing a jacket with a brown hoodie underneath, a Jacket not a coat.
My carhartt is not my jacket. My carhartt is my coat.
Not sure when carhartt was said/mentioned but now wonder if the jacket was reversible and he turned it inside out.

Thinking too much
I think "coat" and "jacket" are subjective terms depending on where a person lives. I live in the SE. While we do have the occasional cold snap, our climate does not require the cold weather outerwear that the North and Midwest require. Here, the same garment could be either a "coat" or a "jacket" depending on the preference of the person wearing it. Those of you who live in these often frigid winters have my admiration. I do not think I could do it.

day 8 48:38
RA has lost a lot of weight from photos years ago but it’s stabilized and and he appears physically healthy. Head is shaved, no facial hair. He still stares at people, even stares at jury members. AC thinks it’s a creepy stare, he was staring at her at one point and he does it a lot but they don’t know the intent. But one moment he’s normal, having laughing, smiling, having a conversation with people and then he’s like staring. It seems like something that varies a lot.

Earlier Holman mentioned one interview tactic is to mirror the behavior/language of the interviewee.
51:30 Baldwin made the point RA was told by Holman “You’re going to drag your f’in wife and f’in daughter through all of this” and the implication was you could avoid things and make things better and easier for them if he just accepted his guilt. So Baldwin alleges to Holman “you put it in his head his wife and daughter wouldn’t suffer if he confessed”. KG suggests surely RA could surely realize this on his own, rather than planting seeds of blame on LE for RA’s confessions.

RA's confessions are going to corroborate all of the sworn testimony and the evidence brought out so far.

"You’ll hear Richard Allen in his own words telling his wife, his mom… (and others).. that he did it, how he did it, and why he did it." - Nick M.

In 61 + unsolicited and unprovoked confessions RA will place himself on the bridge.

Nick M. has already said RA admitted his motive was to sexually assault. A mixture of both girls' clothing was discovered in the creek. Abby was undressed at some point. Libby was found completely nude.

RA said he forced the girls' across the creek. The next day, Libby's jeans that Abby was wearing were damp/wet and the bottom of the sweatshirt had a water ring around it.

RA may admit he knows about the clothing switch. In the 3 day pre-trial hearings Nick alluded that Abby was dressed BEFORE she received her fatal injury.

RA admits he used a box cutter to inflict the girls' fatal wounds. The pathologist says their injuries are consistent with the use of a box cutter. LE looked for "sharp instruments" in early search warrants because they were not exactly sure what was used to cause the fatal wounds.

RA admits to using branches to attempt to cover the bodies. Was he possibly interrupted and that interruption is corroborated by evidence and/testimony?

Will he he corroborate he was the man in the Carbaugh sighting or that he saw the family arriving?

So ready for next week's testimony.
Details I’d like to know. Explain the clothing switch and why. Who was killed first and why. Why he racked his gun. What the girls said or did. How long this took. What did he do immediately after. Etc. etc.

The level of detail is going to be important, along with anything he couldn’t guess at, or didn’t know courtesy of discovery.

The last testimony I saw was her saying she was heading east, saw the people at the Mears entrance and then saw a muddy/bloody person walking west. If that's not her last statement, then I stand corrected.

That person would have had to walk right by those people at Mears within a couple of minutes. It's a straight piece of road from the cemetery to Mears parking. They should have seen him coming toward them.

No one else saw the guy SC saw..
MOO

RA's PCA states Carbaugh was driving "eastbound" toward the direction of the crime scene and the man was walking "westbound" in the direction of the old CPS building.

Seems like I remember back then in 2017 you could drive in to the parking area that was wooded on both sides. I thought a video showed the gate was not there in 2017.

I don't actually care about the jacket or coat since the one the LE found in RA's home couldn't be tied to the crime at all by forensics... MOOOO.

He did not confess to killing his family. Read the context. He was referring to his guilt and regret over his own actions, and how it damaged his family life, essentially 'killing' his family.

People use the word 'kill' symbolically not literally quite often.

He was speaking to his therapist, Dr Wala. She was trying to talk him out of being suicidal, and saying his family loved him, needed him etc...his response was he didn't deserve to live because he killed his family with his actions...

Did Dr Wala believe he was actually confessing to murdering his family? NO, she didnt call 911 or do a welfare check. She knew he was not speaking literally.

They will probably play the audios of some of his confessions. If they are genuine confessions the D should be worried, IMO.
Yes, I think the way this works is that when RA says he killed his family, he said it figuratively, but when RA said he killed Libby and Abby, it's literally.

The defense was complaining they couldn't even find things in the discovery when they were actually looking for it.

We really needed Johnny Grusing…think of all the self-incriminating gold he got out of Barry Morphew!
I was thinking the same. That investigation was a masterclass in interviewing.

Question for you or anyone else. Do we have details of the second interview other than the PCA? I may have brain dumped it if it was discussed in court.

We had the initial one years ago. Then we had a followup (that’s the one I’m talking about), and then we had a final one in which he was arrested.

Yes, the directions are exactly what I said. If BG came up from the cemetery or up the side of RL's property, he would have had to pass the Mears entrance to get back to the CPS bldg.

We talked a lot about how he might have missed being seen by going though the woods on the south side of the road but that would have been really risky considering there were already people gathering. However, that was before SC's testimony.

The Murder Sheet (in today's episode) are under the impression that both interviews will be viewed in trial Monday.

Gray Hughes explains it in this video. The gate wasn't there in 2017 and you could park inside that area which is clearly wooded on both sides.

"He also said Holeman told Allen that the death penalty was on the table in the case."

I didn't think that LE were permitted to threaten suspects with the DP?? Does anyone happen to know? Not moo -its a question. Ty

RA threatened Holeman in that interview too he told him he was going to pay for what he (Holeman) has done to his (RA's) wife.
