Does anyone know the specific model of Allen's 2016 Ford Focus? I am perplexed by the lack of blood they found (none in fact), but I'm wondering if it might have had synthetic leather seats which would explain that.
It had fancy wheels, does that indicate a trim level?

Respectfully, I am not sure whether you're indicating that the state should have done a voice analysis

or

Saying that such an analysis would have been useless anyway.

AFAIK you are correct--voice analysis needs more than three words. But I don't have a link so JMO
I would wonder why they had not, but would be surprised if one could have been done given BG only had three words on the video made by LG's phone. Not sure of the quality of the voice on the video before it was cleaned up by investigators vs after, or how useful it would have been for such analysis. I really don't know. Not an area I know a whole lot about.

Investigators say only one Ford Focus SE model was registered in Carroll County when Abby and Libby were killed

Investigator Steve Mullin testified that only one car was registered in Carroll County that appears to match the one seen on surveillance footage captured near the trails where Abby and Libby were killed: suspect Richard Allen’s vehicle.

Quote the MS: people who don't want to believe something look for reasons not to believe it.

Speaking to the dynamic between RA and KA.

There's probably wide application here.

JMO
There is a very important opposite of this point. People who want to believe something will look for any reason to believe it.

@MassGuy It was a 2016 Ford Focus SE

"…..after which authorities must review whether the prisoners should remain there."

Genuinely asking due to my own ignorance. Does anyone know if these reviews did or did not take place in regards to RA? If so, is there a source that plainly states so? TIA

ETA in regards to RA
Good question. I wonder if they were done, why we didn't hear about them from the State before they rested earlier today?

It might. I had been imagining a cloth interior, which made me wonder how he might have avoided getting blood on the seat.

If it’s fake leather or something, then it makes sense. He probably didn’t have to avoid it.

Do you think the defense will bring up the aliens or stick with the Odinist theory? Or will they take the stage to declare everything in Indiana is corrupt?
The D filed a new motion to have the Odins brought back into play earlier this week or last (I forget which). Has JG ruled on this yet? If not, when do we expect her to do so - or can she just flat out ignore it? Edited by me to add: motion was filed over a week ago now on Oct 23/2024 per the link.

13 Things To Know From The #Delphi Murders Trial Today - Oct 31

1. This afternoon the State rested its case against Richard Allen, but not before presenting its most powerful evidence. The jury got to hear more confessions — this time, in Allen’s own words and own voice. #wthr

These confessions contain verified, realistic information in them. The van, the motive, the morning details, the weapon.
From the man who also has his bullet at the scene, car on video, and places himself on the trail, on the bridge, down the hill! Not a random off the street trying to get famous.

His mental health isn't good, not then, not now, but it doesn't make his confessions untrue. That's just RA. He sits demurely in front of a jury all day and then loses it and threatens a guard's life.
I found that a desperate move by the sinking ship that is the P in this case. LOL imo, NM knew the D was going to object to the video being included since the D hadn't seen it yet, he didn't care. Imo, he just wanted the jury to hear it - bonus if they got to see the video, which they didn't.

Sounds like what do some people call it? A big nothingburger on that video since JG ruled against the jury seeing it - moo. I hope the jury found this as comical and slimy by the P as I did. MOOO.

I looked at a few models on Carvana. They had leather looking seats. I just hate unanswered questions, but this seems to answer mine about the lack of DNA.
Leather and faux leather seats still have stitching where liquids can penetrate.

I think it was probably a simple solution. Trash bags or plastic drop sheet over the seat would do it. The trash bags could have done double duty once he got home. Inside out, filled with the stained clothing and maybe the knife. Dumped at work makes sense, he'd know the pickup schedule.

He'd planned enough to bring the knife and gun and either turn off his phone or leave it at home. It would be a simple thing to put a roll of trash bags in the car as well.

MOO

I think the P was playing chess, lets see if it comes in during the rebuttal of a witness in the D case, spoiler: I bet it does

This makes me happy:

2. To say these recorded confessions were damaging to Allen’s defense would be a gross understatement. Hearing a man saying over & over again that he killed two girls — making the incriminating statements to his wife & mother — is something the jury cannot un-hear.

I can't make sense of not presenting the geofence data, which resulted in the FBI contacting witnesses in the months following the murders.

His phone not being on there is strong evidence that Allen was not on his phone as he claimed (checking stock quotes). It's just really strange not to delve into that.

i am guessing the defence is going to lead RAs phone evidence and state will cross.

I know that Ford makes a synthetic leather called ActiveX for the Maverick since I own one. Not sure if it was available in the 2016 Focus SE that RA owned.

Why would synthetic leather be a factor in no blood evidence being found. JMO.

It would just make sense to me that he could potentially clean it up easier if he got blood on that type of material as opposed to cloth seats.

As of 11:34 PM EST, the percentage of voters choosing RA as “guilty and acted alone” in Tricia’s daily poll has steadily risen.

At least among us non-jurors, it seems the prosecution has scored some points.

Now we wait to see how the defense explains it all away. If they can.
