Ms Cespon says she asked about her recent history, and says Erin told her she began to feel ill on the night of July 29, after the lunch.

She told the nurse she experienced abdominal pain during her bowel movements.

Ms Cespon says Erin seemed "distressed" and "emotional".

A closer look at the bowel chart​

The court is shown Erin Patterson's "Bowel Chart" from July 31, 2023.

It refers to times Ms Patterson went to the toilet at 10:00am, 10:04am, 10:06am, 10:25am and 11:50am.

Three "medium" amounts of content were collected, and two "small" amounts were collected, the chart shows.

On all occasions, the "consistency" was described as "liquid".

Seeing that EP appeared well (BP petrol station video) when all her lunch guests were deterioating very quickly already until she seemingly realised that there were many questions around the lunch, to me points to anxiety diarrhea (especially in the absence of any toxins in her system).

Erin Patterson told police where to find leftovers​

Ms Cespon tells the court she was present for a phone conversation Erin Patterson had with police, where she told them where the leftovers from lunch were.

"She was instructing them as to where they can find [the leftovers]," Ms Cespon says.

"She mentioned that it would be in the bin … in a Woolies paper bag."

Ms Cespon says Erin told police this was the meal she fed to her children.

The Woolworths paper bag was eventually brought to hospital, and Ms Cespon took it to Erin to have her confirm whether it was in fact the leftovers.

She says Erin looked inside and confirmed it was the leftovers

Bing is not some weird search engine that shifty people use to hide their searches.

Years ago google changed their news aggregate, and left out sections like Science, Health etc.

Out of frustration I started using Bing for reading news. And also for searching.
There is an option for searching time periods, like past hour, past 24 hours etc.

Over the years I've found Google search results went from literally hundreds of pages to maybe five and many of them have links to shopping sites, Youtube videos.

If I'm searching for something, I still use Google, and then I use Bing which often comes up with something that Google missed.

I'm not sure if that was in response to what I posted, but I'm aware Bing is a regular search engine, nothing dodgy about it. I was suggesting that maybe Erin's change from Bing to Google may have been significant, if she might have wanted to wipe everything from one (in this case, Bing) and suggest that all she ever used was Google, which wouldn't show any questionable searches.

Defence to cross-examine Leongatha nurse​

Ms Cespon also tells the court that Erin Patterson briefly left the hospital to retrieve something from her car, before returning.

Colin Mandy SC is now up to cross-examine Ms Cespon.

He confirms with Ms Cespon that Erin's blood pressure was measured at 130 over 100, a high reading.

Mr Mandy focuses on the first three bowel movements, made six minutes apart.

Ms Cespon says she observed clear liquid with small brown bits in it, and says she took a sample of one of the bowel movements.

She tells the court she has seen patients previously with similar coloured bowel movements.

He says he individually visited each store, and was told to look for mushrooms that were not in manufacturer's packaging, but instead in plain packaging.

Some of the shops sold mushrooms; others didn’t. Pictures are in the document which show items on the shelves.

In Oakleigh, the premises listed were: Everyday Asian Supermarket, Golden Grocery, Little Korea, Pacific Asian Oakleigh and Oakleigh Fresh Fruit Barn.

In Clayton, he visited Sarawan Spices &Home Entertainment, Hong Kong Asian Food Supermarket, Fresh Fruit Mart, Alishaan India Pty Ltd and Jireh Mart.

What a waste of resources.

How could a woman that seemed to handle her daily life well enough (cooking complicated meals, taking son to flying lessons on time as examples) think it's reasonable to forget which store she actually visited?

I visit smaller grocers like that as well at times and would never forget where I bought an item from especially if it's only a fairly recent purchase.

Sending council off on wild goose chases, lying to police, the alleged phone factory reset while it was in police custody... I don't know, if I was acting out of panic because I'd accidentally poisoned relatives, I wouldn't be trying to hide evidence. I can only say that for myself and know as much as the public is allowed to know at this stage. JMO

Yeah, it was absolutely a waste of time and resources given the defence have admitted she lied to police about the purchase of the mushrooms.

Shop by shop, Mr Schonknecht is being taken through his report into the Monash Asian grocers.

Tables being shown to the court include the details of mushroom products, pictures and the suppliers.

At this rate, this exercise may take a while.

In total Mr Schonknecht said he took 340 photos during his investigation.
