You start with a full set of plates etc, but over time some break, some crack, some chip.
Break one or chip one and often the design is no longer available.

Maybe she was happy with the plates she had, even if they didn't all match.

Ok, so Kmart and Henrietta’s so there wasn’t any reason not to buy a full set. I can see she shopped at Kmart, photographed in a $12 Kmart jumper twice in those early weeks of media harassment. I recognised it.

Aldi sell by catalogue, stock changes weekly.
Yes, she could easily have purchased a full set. Aldi does change stock weekly, but Leongatha store usually always has a range of plates etc. somewhere on their tables of weird bargains! There are also 2 op-shops that have a large range of sets of good quality plates etc.

What condition?
Well, they gave her fentanyl. Whatever her condition, I'm sure that made her feel it improved.

MOO

Must have been extremely painful imaginary diarrhea!

I am not sure why there is this perceived importance about having all matching plates for friends or relatives invited to a lunch or dinner meal. I would be mostly focused on the meal itself (but if I was doing the cooking and not my wife, it would be a barbeque due to my limited cooking ability) Maybe it is a Guy thing?

Of course Erin had her own reason for ensuring that her plate was unique.

It is most definitely a guy thing, from my experience.

I can't stand not having matchy plates, but some people aren't as caught up about it as me! Some women aren't, but the majority I know place an importance on things like this. Most men couldn't care less, IMO.

The reason I think it's relevant, obviously, is because her mysteriously small and totally different coloured plate seemed to have some magical DC antidote qualities the others didn't.

I agree and I’d made that point further up. I don’t think she was a regular entertainer. I see her plate as irrelevant, she probably gave her guests the matching plates and hers was the odd one as she didn’t have 5 matching plates. If you were plotting, why choose the obvious one.

A matching dinner set isn’t a priority for everyone. A guy thing, maybe.

EP is nowhere near obese, and from what I've seen has no problem walking.

Earlier vision of her walking, I saw a woman who was not used to being filmed and not used to the media pack hounding her.
She seemed very self conscious due to not being used to being in the media public eye which made her act and walk awkwardly.

She tells the court it made her feel scared and worried because child protection was now ininvolved.
It's not a nice thing to think or say, but IMO whoever is raising the children now, it's got to be better than their mother having them. Even if she is acquitted, I for one would never trust her not to harm them. MOO

Where is Phone A, Erin?
I think it's possible that the black phone case on the window sill in the picture was an empty case.

EP claims Phone A was visible on the window sill charging. I have a hard time believing that LE was searching for her phones, and they wouldn't notice a phone plugged into a charger on a window sill.

It's easier for me to believe that she had already taken it and stashed it somewhere before LE arrived with the warrant.

EP had already tipped the dehydrator because she knew CPS was on her tail and before LE even got the search warrant, and 3 of the victims had already died by Aug 4th. So she had to know LE was coming to search soon.

They had sniffer dogs in there in November, who smell the glue on the circuit board of phones and all other devices. She got rid of that phone between August 5, and November, thus. Deliberately. They purposely went in there to find that phone, which has mysteriously vanished.

I think she knew exactly what she was doing. She wanted to be sure her plate was safe. If someone took her plate, she likely would have stacked on a stab of cancer pain or some other BS and "dropped" the poison plate so it broke and she didn't have to eat it.

I think Eppingstall feels pretty confident that the jury can see it is not a phone ... just by the way that he said to Colin Mandy "that is up to the jury to decide" (or words to that effect).

imo

ETA link:
Warren shows the court room a photo of a black item on the windowsill in Patterson’s home. The photo was taken by police during the search of the Leongatha property.

She asks Eppingstall if it is the mobile phone that has been referred to as Phone A. Eppingstall says it is a matter for the jury.

One glaring problem with Erin's story, for me, is that she has an answer for every inconsistency. (ignoring the fact that many are clearly falsehoods)

Nobody has an answer for every inconsistency in any matter, ever. The most innocent person on the planet couldn't explain away every single inconsistency in their story.

Over the years I've changed.

I used to like things that matched, ie cups and mugs, towels, and yes plates etc.

The other day I realised that when I thought of giving everyone a matching mug, I had this little involuntary shudder.
Where once they had to be matched, I now prefer treating myself and others as individuals.

So maybe two matching and two non matching plates, even though I have four of the same.
Even better every plate different.

And matching mugs, no way. No way I want to drink out of the same design mug as everyone else

Also I noticed I had two matching dusty rose hand towels in the bathroom, that same shudder so I replaced one with a green one :)

Its the cops fault she factory reset it. Please.
She can't help it if she is smarter than them. I think that's her general attitude towards life. She's the smartest person in the room.

Male here. Wouldn't care if every plate was a different colour. I actually use plastic plates for hot snacky food because they don't make the food go cold.

I think she may be humbled tomorrow, when the actual smartest people in the room cross-examine her.

I don't know why she would leave it to chance like this though. and the whole allegedly deadly lunch effort would be a waste.

Why wouldn't she have just asked all her guests to take a seat and then she could have brought the plates over to each of them at the table?

By the way she is throwing so much at Simon, I would say the (alleged) motive could be to hurt Simon for all of the hurt that he has apparently caused her.

imo
As soon as his 4 loved ones had died a gruesome death, she wanted to change her number so he couldn't contact her anymore?

How was that supposed to work? He wasn't allowed to see his kids anymore? Or was he supposed to just call them on their phones and not speak to her?

It didn't make much sense for her to tell the CPS worker that she didn't want the father of her children to be able to contact her. Isn't that a major red flag for a family social worker?

It seemed like she was trying to imply that he was dangerous or had mental health issues?
