Maybe I’ve missed it in previous recaps, but I really want the prosecution to hammer home how negligent she is as a mother, considering how she considers herself so much better than Simon.
I would ask her if she now sees that her behaviour was negligent? Why did she feed her children leftovers that made others/her unwell? Why did she make her son go to a flying lesson when they both seemed to be unwell? Does she agree her children surviving was simply fluke? I’d ask her if being scared of being in trouble with the authorities was more scary than the risk to her children’s lives? I’d ask her if she thought, even if she is found not guilty, that Simon deserves primary custody, and child protection needs to monitor her supervision of her children considering how she put them in harm’s way AND tried to prevent them getting adequate medical treatment? If not, I’d ask her why she doesn’t feel more remorseful that she could’ve killed her children?
