What’s the name of the publication

Some of the units are self-catering, including the Dame Phylis Frost Centre and Karreenga

They are designed for this; the inmates order every week and cook their food, meal preparation, budgeting etc..

Prisoners in these units are responsible for cooking their own meals

It seems Justice Beale has ensured he has adequately covered himself and the trial. I'm guessing EP won't fade into obscurity though. She will Appeal, I have no doubt about it.

Yes, definitely think she will appeal. At the very least, she has nothing to lose.

I agree, Justice Beale seemed thorough so I'd doubt there will be an issue with his directions.

Here was the High Court's finding for George Pell's successful appeal against a jury verdict.
The High Court found that the jury, acting rationally, ought to have entertained a doubt as to Pell's guilt

Defence lawyers find ways ....

The link below says "In her mid-20s, Patterson left her science course and pursued a degree in accounting." It does not say she has a degree or full qualifications as an accountant in Australia. Does she have the relevant Bachelor of Science degree? Professional experience? Is she a CPA? With her money and properties, MOO she would have been advised to hire someone whose field of expertise is taxation and possibly estate planning.

Iam not sure. But I still go back to Simons statement, as a witness, that she was an Accountant.

Much more information is coming out now. The DM article is good as a recap but I don’t have much faith in their reporting generally.

But at one point she talks about how sad it is that Heather, Gail and Ian have died and she hopes Don survives.

Just just flat couldn't be bothered to remember which close relatives had died.

MOO
I've always suspected that was an intentional mistake as she wouldn't have wanted Ian to recover...

I agree, and she did get away with allegedly poisoning Simon so she felt emboldened. Unfortunately for her, the doctors and the victims were on to medical treatment quickly to determine what was going on. Not before she stalled though and could've saved their lives...
Yes, it’s mind boggling that Erin chose to withhold crucial information from the medical professionals. It must therefore be concluded that her goal was bringing about the deaths of her in-laws, not saving them.

And after her attempts to gaslight her own children during her testimony it suggests that no one was completely safe around her.

What a waste of an intelligent mind. Erin had it all; enough money to allow her to pursue whatever she wanted, two lovely children and a group of loving supporters through Simon’s family. A dream life. So sad.

Best wishes to Ian, who must go on without Heather. And Simon who’s lost his parents and aunt. And the children who have lost their beloved grandparents and now their mother.

Erin is right where she belongs. JMO

I still think she thought she'd be clear after 48 hours.

Probably never anticipated her victims going to the hospital. Methinks by dehydrating and blitzing the DCs, she overdosed lethal doses, resulting in even more violent symptoms. And because she chose a meal with mushrooms, mushroom poisoning was an obvious starting point.

I think that was her whole plan. Like writing in invisible ink. After 48 hours, no one would know what caused the deaths. She thought she was smarter than the whole medical establishment.

Every death in her past should be looked at. Angel of death, did she hurry anyone else to death?

I second what the good doctor said, colorful language and all.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail, Dr Webster said his clinic has received numerous formal complaints which may need to be investigated by the medical board.

The doctor said he will work to clear his name and get on with treating patients after numerous people accused him of being a 'misogynist'.
...
Dr Webster said the complaints had drained his and his family's energy.

'One of the complaints accused me of talking about a "patient of mine", they referred to Patterson as a "patient of mine", not as a convicted killer,' he said.

I don't get the Erin Patterson stans. Why are they going after the doctor? Because he recognized her for what she really was?

That’s crazy!
His honesty and assessment of a dangerous situation while speaking out is what WE ALL should expect from our fellow humans

EXCLUSIVE: Erin Patterson Allegedly Attempted to Poison Six Inmates at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre.

Erin Patterson, infamously known as the "Mushroom Killer," has allegedly extended her murderous intentions behind bars, targeting six fellow inmates at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, Outlaw Media can exclusively reveal.

According to a prison incident report obtained by Outlaw Media, Patterson devised a chilling plan to slowly poison six women in her unit.

The report details allegations that she served inmates eggs she had deliberately frozen, aiming to induce bacterial contamination and make them gravely ill.

Further claims suggest that frozen eggshell fragments caused internal bleeding in several victims, necessitating emergency medical intervention.

While poisoning via frozen eggs may seem an unconventional method, sources close to the prison warn that Patterson’s cunning nature demands constant vigilance.

Following today’s guilty verdict, Patterson is expected to be transferred to a protection unit, a move her legal team is likely to challenge as they prepare an appeal.

I would love to see this from a trusty mainstream source, but omg, if true...

Erin did have a recycling bin at her home. Erin’s set of 3 bins, household waste, recycling and garden waste seen here……

It'd be enough time to toss a zip-lock baggie of the powdered Death Caps into a trash can in the bathroom.

Maybe someone could do a re-enactment for us. :)

Where the dinner plates went....

DM left out of the video the most important parts of what they described, disposing the unflattened box and the rubbish.

The killer then backed her car up to a dumping point and carried flattened cardboard boxes to a recycling bin.

Patterson was also seen carrying another, non-flattened cardboard box carefully to the bin where she struggled to squeeze it inside.

However, she managed to carefully place the box into the bin without squashing it.

Patterson also dumped some other rubbish from behind the boot of the car.

It was almost impossible to tell from the footage what rubbish was dumped.

Patterson then crushed and discarded some other boxes, including packaging for a food dehydrator, and drove away.

I've just finished listening to The Trial podcast and they described the video. They explained that she was disposing of bags into general waste, but the strange bit being that they've left it out of the video on the website.

That is why it wasn't admissable? Because there was no proof it was her that searched? I've heard before that that's what makes things like prosecuting piracy quite difficult, because its so hard to pin down to a legal standard who out of a household did a search for the file in question. But, I mean...

this is the document btw A Case Study: What Doses of Amanita phalloides and Amatoxins Are Lethal to Humans? - PubMed

mmmm so very accidental. She definitely had no clue about death caps or what they could do!

That's pretty much why. The story said.

Controversially, this wasn’t shared in court, either: the defence told Justice Beale that Erin’s laptop might have somehow automatically downloaded the document. He agreed.

But I have no clue what it means that it was automatically downloaded, I've never heard of a device automatically downloading a pubmed link. The article is probably not explaining it well.

But that mushroom paper is interesting in more ways than one. It shows this photo as an example of DCs.

Compare that to the photo found on her computer.

EP was born in 1974, and the story I linked below says "In her mid-20s, Patterson left her science course and pursued a degree in accounting." That would be in the early 2000s. It also says "In 2001, she also sat for an Air Services class photo - which included all the trainee air traffic controllers for that year" and "Patterson was not an air traffic controller for long before she transitioned to working in animal management for the RSPCA at Monash City Council. It was here, in 2004, where she met her ex-husband Simon Patterson." She had at least two jobs after she "pursued a degree in accounting" and neither would have afforded her the three years of practical experience to qualify as a CPA. And SP and EP only met after she'd left her accounting studies. MOO she may have done some bookkeeping and represented herself to SP as an accountant despite never having been one. He had nothing to "witness" about her jobs before the RSPCA because they didn't know each other.

Fantastic sleuthing @CityKid, pretty sure you're right on the money there.
