This BBM part by me really got to me.
Poor Don and Gail were living a a nightmare and must have been heartbroken. They were kind and supportive. “We despair at what some of the alternative approaches will do to all of you. They were so right. So Erin chose to deliberately murder them as her solution. What a hateful, vile person. Let her suffer greatly while facing the consequences of her actions.
I know! It’s like they knew where this was heading.

They just didn’t know specifically what the “alternative approaches” would be.

It’s all so sad. IMO

You could have been anyone making up this stuff (there’s apps that can create fake sms conversations) and they (Daily Mail?) just printed your screen shots without vetting you or doing other background work to establish and verify that you and Erin Patterson were the authors of those messages?

I remember when they (the messages) were posted in an online crime group, and to me that’s not publishable on surface value, without doing other checks and balances, which would have involved journalists contacting you and undertaking verification processes.

IMO

Fortunately you are indeed credible - but that was really a reach by DMA.

IMO

It's horrible journalism. It was the Herald Sun who published them originally as "exclusives". I had no idea some journos were lurking in the group, if I did, I wouldn't have posted them.

DMA were the next dodgy outlet to publish them, and more!

Also, when I originally came to WS I saw a lot of people saying I had betrayed my "friend" by leaking "nasty" text messages. Oh boy! Erin was my friend for a time, until she wasn't and decided to make me one of her victims because I confronted her over her unethical behaviour. She's awful, as we now know. IMO

She definitely tried to groom me, I think. I was the group admin/leader, and I think she wanted that control, but also, I was the person in the group focusing on the crime analysis, whereas a lot of the group was focusing on the social dynamics between members. (In particular, Erin - she was OBSESSED with doing profiles on everyone).

I think she ultimately wanted to control the group - which she eventually did. IMO
Maybe that's what's on Phone A, her stalking profiles on everyone. Erin's little black book.
She would make comments about people's FB pages, change her profile to anagrams of their names, and copy and paste pictures of other people. Way too much time on her hands 🤣

She's got one now. Operating the steam press, I hear 😂
There we go! Making a contribution to the lives of others.

A much better use of one’s time.

Ps. I understand why the cops didn’t want to give her a laptop in her holding cell in Morwell.

Hi Detechtive, I think you were/are incredibly brave in providing background and evidence. Hold your head high. You have done nothing wrong. Let her be angry and pi$$ed at you. You can move forward knowing you did the right thing because you have decency and integrity. Wishing you all the very best and sending biggest hugs.

Thank you. It means more than you know. Erin maligned me to all and sundry and it was absolutely relentless. I had over 20 people online defaming me. Interestingly, when she was charged, they all stopped ;)

Agreed. I'd add to that, if you ever have the unfortunate experience to come across her in real life in the future, don't eat or drink anything that's been in the same postcode as her!

She was trying to organise a meet up with a bunch of us for "drinks" which I found odd, because, you don't travel interstate to meet people for "drinks" - you at least have dinner, right? I know this sounds crazy, but I have reason to believe that was probably going to be a poisoning attempt. IMO

It's shocking to me, as a mother, that she would do this. Most of us appear to do what nature intended - bond with our children while they're growing inside us, feel an instant connection when they're born, and a then hold a desire to protect them for the rest of our lives. I wonder if she checked in often, or whether Simon did, or if she just left them to it? To me, it's a selfish move, and can go a long way to explaining the workings of her brain, with its apparent lack of empathy, nurturing or care.
Correction, Don's wife and her sister.

There could be journos lurking here as well... 👁

You'd think so, right? What time frame was this?

“If the person sat down without the accused either saying ‘challenge’ or the prosecution saying ‘stand aside’, they became part of the jury.”

Three people were challenged by Patterson, the maximum amount the accused is allowed to make without providing reasons.

BBM - Anyone know why?

Send you away with a little bag of brownies … with powdered mushrooms added.
