I wonder if Ketut will get an extras role 🤔
I still think that Toni Collette or Sarah Snook would be good in the role, even if they don't resemble Erin physically.

Once challenged, the juror is dismissed from serving on the jury in that trial.

This right helps ensure the impartiality of the jury and protects the accused's right to a fair trial

Sorry - wasn't clearer, I was only enquiring/musing if anyone knew why she had challenged those particular 3 persons.

But elsewhere in that article it states that they can challenge up to 3 without giving a reason, so all just speculation really...

...which some us find endlessly fascinating, despite knowing it will never get us anywhere!

The mother-of-two is said to spend time behind bars “knitting for her kids”.”

1. What, she's allowed knitting needles, isn't that dangerous?!

2. If only she had taken up harmless hobbies like this "before"... 😔

How much of the courtroom daily deeds and drama are authors really allowed to spill?

Can the Pattersons and Wilkinsons ask to be excluded from any mention in future forms of media entertainment ie movies, books, documentaries? I can't imagine they would like it.. Just curious what rights persons have in these circumstances?

Eta - Do they need to give permission, and would there be any lucrative reason they would? (Ie proceeds to charities)

Late one night I couldn't understand why I couldn't "Like" a post until I realized it was my own darn post I was trying to like.
I've done that 🤣

What don’t you ask the family publicist?

LOL .. the City of the Sleep Deprived :D

"The City of the Sleep Deprived"! Yay, love it! But in spite of the sleep deprivation, let's hear it for our remarkable intelligence, sense of humour, general knowledge, wisdom, life experience and all-round brilliance! Did I mention modesty? 😊

Hey Detechtive! Thanks so much for getting verified and sharing info with us :D

I have a question. In your opinion or experience was there anything that gave any spidey senses or red flag that this is a woman who aside from being controlling and maybe dramatic and dishonest, could actually go way too far and do something that the average person would never consider?

Yes. Little things. But also big things. The way she stalked people who disagreed with her online was a major red flag. She didn’t seem to have an ethical stop button, internally.

I thought she was a psychopath long ago.
I didn’t expect she would mass murder, but I did suspect she was capable of heinous behaviour.

Inmate reveals shocking Erin Patterson claim inside Dame Phyllis Frost Centre

“Erin Patterson’s cell was number 29 inside the Murray unit at Melbourne’s maximum security women’s prison.

Next to the mushroom cook killer at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre on the city’s northern fringe was headmistress rapist Malka Leifer in cell 28.

Samantha Azzopardi, the career conwoman and child kidnapper, was in cell 32 and notorious catfish stalker Lydia Abdulmalek was in cell 30.

The inmate, who kept detailed diary notes about every incident and every personality behind bars, said Patterson was blamed for making a fellow prisoner so sick she was “vomiting everywhere” and had to be seen by the medical team.

“I was like ‘What the 🤬🤬🤬*?’ and she told me the story about how prison officers found mayonnaise in Erin’s room that was allegedly used to poison (one of the inmates).

“She went to medical and was vomiting everywhere. She was saying that the mushroom lady’s cell was searched and they found chemistry books with pages tagged including sections on natural remedies.

“This was all part of the investigation into the poisoning (of the inmate).”

The former inmate kept a diary note dated the 29th of July, 2024. In it she writes that prison guards found “two bottles of mayonnaise in Erin’s clothes basket” when they searched her room.

A justice department spokeswoman said: “There is no evidence to support that there has been any contaminated food or suspected poisonings at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre.”

But the former inmate who spoke to news.com.au said the incident “100 per cent happened”.

————-

“Nobody gives a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 about what she’s done. They hate her because she’s entitled, arrogant, demanding and rude.

The mother-of-two is said to spend time behind bars “knitting for her kids”.”

How would she have gotten mayonnaise in her cell?

I have a friend who works in prisons and will ask her about this, but it seems unlikely IMO

Apparently I’m wrong about the mayonnaise, inmates are allowed to buy condiments and have them in their cell. Just not things like Vegemite and honey because they can use the yeast and sugar to make alcohol 😳

What would she have added to it to make the others sick? 😬

I believe body waste is a popular choice with people who adulterate food in institutional settings.

Are prisoners allowed cleaning products though?
Cleaning duty is one of the rostered jobs of most inmates in most facilities, I believe.

She wouldn't need to actually add anything. Open the jar of mayonnaise, leave it at room temperature for a week or so, and voila! A veritable breeding ground for salmonella and other bacteria.

Edit - Actually, according to this article, commercial mayo can be left at room temp because the manufacturers use pasteurized eggs along with enough acid and other additives that it won't spoil. But you can contaminate it with dirty utensils or fingers.

I'm learning so much Australian slang :D

If you accuse someone of spitting the dummy or spitting out the dummy, you are accusing them of behaving in a bad-tempered and childish way.

To have a childish overreaction or angry outburst to a negative situation or outcome; to act in a bad-tempered manner, likened to a temper tantrum of a child.

dummy = pacifier

You can just let it go bad. I had a friend get food poisoning from egg salad left in a hot car.
