<modsnip>

Erin apparently sold her red Holden in the weeks before the lunch and replaced it with a red MG. I wonder if there was evidence in that Holden?
Most likely mushroom spores from foraging. Did the police ever recover the Holden for forensic testing?

Should be easy enough to figure that out, since the kids' heights are both marked right there on the wall. That's clearly what it started out as, just a growth marking chart thing. But I guess when the kids saw Mom (and/or Dad?) writing on the wall, they thought it would be ok for them to write on the wall too!

A couple threads back, I posted my tediously thorough analysis :) of everything I could read that was written on the wall and who I thought wrote what, and all that! It all looked pretty harmless and innocent to me, except for maybe a couple things which did seem somewhat bizarre or out of place, imo.
Like ‘Grandma RIP’?

VIC Roads rego status shows 1LA8RU: Red 2018 Holden Wagon. Cancelled 29/6/24.

That's about 1 year after the Red MG's rego anniversary date.

I see on the VicRoads site that the reasons for cancellation are:

  • Stolen vehicle
  • Written-off vehicle
  • Vehicle registered in another state
  • Any other reason
So, not sure why she would cancel the Holden's rego about a year after registering the MG. In the interim, maybe she had access to another car, whose plates we are not aware of.

(Edit: fixed to say after, not before)

Maybe the red MG wasn't bought new? Possibly a 1 yr old car?

In a previous post I showed that the MG's compliance date (close enough to manufacturing date) is 03/2023 and it was registered on 07/2023. So only about 4 months old when registered.

I was told she had an identical red MG which she disposed of prior to getting the other MG but I’m not sure how reliable that is

Possibly, as there is about a year between the two cars whose rego we do have.

Not sure how it works in Victoria - but I do know thst generally in Australia, when someone gets new personalised plates it cancels that rego status - you need the VIN number to trace it properly

That's a thought if she put personal plates on the Holden. But then I'd expect her to transfer those to the new MG in July 2023 and the Holden rego was cancelled in 2024, which suggests that she (or someone) was driving both cars to the tip in 2023 if that tip data is to be believed.

And the tip log doesn’t show other plates

Interesting - apparently her friends were surprised that she got an exact replica of the same red MG prior to the lunch.

I haven’t been able to verify it but it does seem to plug that gap on second thought.

Erin's mother died in 2019, so about 6 years ago. Do we know how long ago that wall was first noticed, or "decorated"?
2021 - 2 years after her mothers death, upon sale.

I was told Erin drew on a wall in a similar fashion many years earlier but again, I can’t verify that.

First registered date is the date VicRoads uses to determine the age of the vehicle

Yes, it works that way in Victoria. Tracing the VIN shows the car is no longer registered in Victoria. Perhaps it was sold interstate?

Mmm sure that’s a possibility but why would someone buy a car from the sticks in Victoria to pay hefty transport costs interstate? I only see people do that with luxury cars.

Maybe it was sent to the wreckers?

I made an error there. I should say the Holden rego was cancelled a year after the MG was first registered. I have corrected my earlier post.
