There’s psychologist’s in this thread who find her quite basic and predictable IMO
Plenty of nonpsychologists, too.

In my opinion, she did nothing new, novel, or worthy of study.

MOO

There’s currently a show on Netflix called Unlnown Number which reminds me a lot of EP. I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t seen it, but suffice to say that the personality types seem quite similar, IMO.
Watched Unknown Number. OMGoodness! Confronting, especially as it is a true story.

Even though I was angered by her attitude as I found it on both occasions to be of disdain and disrespect, with a total lack of ‘giving a rats’ about her victims or about her behaviour, I can understand your comments from the psych perspective.

She would be a unique subject for intensive study imo. And perhaps in the learnings obtained, in a round about way, there may finally be value found from her being.
I think it’s inevitable that Erin would kill - she had all of the behaviours of a killer. Coercive control, violence, criminal history and escalating stalking behaviours.

Erin’s stalking wasn’t some one-off glitch in her personality, it was part of a long, deliberate pattern. And it wasn’t just her. She dragged friends into it too, using them to amplify the harassment and keep the pressure on. They’re still doing it.

That kind of coordinated stalking is not harmless. It is a major red flag for murder. Criminologists have been saying this for years: stalking is one of the strongest predictors of escalating violence. When someone invests that much time in surveillance, intimidation, and control, the step to physical harm isn’t far.

So when we look at Erin’s history, the online stalking, the obsession, the way she pulled others into it, the warning signs were already flashing bright. That’s why laws around stalking need to be enforced harder. Because every time it’s brushed off as “just online,” we miss the fact that it’s the very behaviour that so often precedes lethal violence.

I have no doubt she stalked Simon both online and in person.

Delusion and gaslighting isn’t interesting. IMO

None of it works to smart people, and thank goodness the jury was smart. There’s still people on social media saying it’s a conspiracy 🙄
Do you think they really believe it’s a conspiracy or are they just gaslighting?

And she doesn't need to be interviewed to study this case.

On the contrary, it’s vital she’s observed in person (for the purpose of my work, I don’t speak on behalf of others of course.)

What is your work?

I for one, am not at all interested in anything further the multiple murderer has to say. It would just be more lies IMO. She is not special. She's just another common criminal.

She is just another domestic multiple murderer, who is soon to be sentenced, hopefully to LWOP.

IMO

I understand and empathise.

Personally I have to separate my own opinion during observation, emotional investment only serves as a barrier.

I also feel justice is only a part of what is owed to victims. Vindication and education to better understand criminal behaviour is also part of the equation.

What makes you think she would tell the truth?? How is she any different to all the other convicted criminals?

That’s ok, I support that.

The irony is, many of us are here because we are interested in the case.

The countless threads and overall notoriety paint a pretty clear picture of wider public interest.

I’m unsure if my earlier posts have been deleted but I explain this a wee while back.

Let me know if you can’t find it :)

So she’ll have one book sale even if she ever was to write a book, which she can’t of course. The hypothetical isn’t at all reality based IMO.

It would just be one giant lie and poor me pity party. Ick!

What would be fascinating is a book about her supporters and their psychological profiles, criminal enablers if you will. Criminal apologists are fascinating as are offender-centred narratives. IMO

IMO True crime enthusiasts turned fans aren’t my personal area of interest. Understanding their behaviour (which is not uncommon) doesn’t work to better understand offenders, preventative care, assist investigations and/or the criminal justice system and reform.

I can see how it might interest others though.

What type of reform? Reform of the Criminal Justice system or rehab of criminals? Your answer is extremely vague.

Yes that was intentional, as is my right to privacy.

Which reveals nothing of your motivation to study her. Are you authorized to visit her???

Maybe you can ask her if she’ll let you psychoanalyse her in jail?

Who suggested I was visiting her, certainly not me.

I’m more than happy to continue watching from a distance, just as the rest of those here.
