Watching the Stan doco now (well, first episode). So far nothing new, lots of journalist talking heads, but it’s always nice to see locations etc on film
Yes, it seems EP has always wanted to be in control, and when she perceives that control is slipping, she immediately tries to assert her authority and have people see things "her way".I just saw it - was interesting to see Jay talk about Erin feeling excluded when him and his girlfriend didn't eat dinner with her.
Other than that, it was pretty devoid of anything new or interesting, IMO.
And the 'excluded theme' - remember her mentioning something about Simon having dinner with his parents and excluding her?Yes, it seems EP has always wanted to be in control, and when she perceives that control is slipping, she immediately tries to assert her authority and have people see things "her way".
I would certainly hope that Simon, as their guardian would disallow the children visiting her. After all, she hid mushrooms in their food too! They may never trust anyone to prepare their food ever again. From what I understand, before the conviction, her POA and her children were visiting her but I’m not sure if that’s changed.
If they’re over 12, I believe it’s their choice.I would certainly hope that Simon, as their guardian would disallow the children visiting her. After all, she hid mushrooms in their food too! They may never trust anyone to prepare their food ever again.
And Simon will quite possibly let them decide. One of them is already old enough to. They should be supervised of course.
Yet... her children may have been her next targets if she wasn't caught if they did anything to anger her. There's been more than one criminal who harms their family members, some even do murder their children, yet they were once described as "Super Moms". Examples that come to mind: Casey Anthony, Susan Smith, Diane Staudte, Stacy Castor, Ruby Franke, Sherri Papini. And keep in mind, Erin DID sneak mushrooms into her kids food.It is a horrible situation. On one hand, there is no evidence that EP was a bad mom. So it is only understandable if the kids would want to visit her.
On the other hand, it is a huge stress, to visit one's mom in jail.
Sorry, killing three close relatives to me puts Erin into an "emotionally dumb" category. But I believe that if she loved anyone, ever, these were her kids. She might never feel emotionally what it is, to kill innocent people. But her children's plight she should feel.
100% agree! For someone with Erin’s personality defects IMO no one is completely safe around her. How precious would her kids be to her once they started rebelling as kids often do? What would happen if she could no longer turn them against their father?Yet... her children may have been her next targets if she wasn't caught if they did anything to anger her. Just thought of another good example: Kouri Richens- murdered her husband, then wrote a children's book on grief!Yet... her children may have been her next targets if she wasn't caught if they did anything to anger her.
