Australia Australia - Pheobe Bishop, 17, failed to board a flight from Queensland, Bundaberg, 15 May 2025 *Arrests* #3

Alive, was she unconscious though ? That would be interesting to know

Such great work by QLD Police and Homicide !!!!

Not sure how they determined that Pheobe was alive then. Maybe she was seen moving around in the vehicle?

Yes, this has been good work by the Qld police. And in the live presser today, they say .... "We are satisfied that we have enough evidence to support our prosecution of these two accused,"

imo

This is where the police say Pheobe was last seen alive. Somewhere near the bmx track near the airport. Presumably the tracks are behind the marked BMX Club. And maybe the BMX Club has CCTV that recorded them passing the club - alive.

That area was discussed very early on in media and here on thread

Makes more sense now with JW telling his tall tale to DM

*******
JW -
"As they approached Airport Drive, less than a kilometer from the terminal, the argument continued, Wood said.

Wood told Bromley to pull the car over and they got out and walked a distance away to give Pheobe some space to collect herself.

'We wanted to give her five minutes - give her her own space to do what she needed to do,' he said.

'We walked to the end, it was maybe five minutes, maybe it was three minutes or maybe it was eight but that's about how long we were gone.'

Wood said when he returned to the car, Pheobe and her bag were gone.

He assumed that she had walked the short remaining distance to the terminal. The couple then drove toward the airport to check, he said, but they didn’t see her along the way.

New info as stated by police -

- nothing of significance found inside the home (as of yet, still being investigated)
- she was last seen on cctv near the bike track, near airport (the question was when was she last seen alive) so I’m assuming police have seen video where they can 100% say she was alive, no just propped up in seat.
- police were given information that lead them to a vast area to search, not directly to the area.
- her body had been moved 9kms from the original spot & was found by a track similar to the first sight.
- no indication of drugs involved, still investigating on money.

I wonder if he mentioned they got out of the car and walked away because they did, after she had either been killed or was unconscious in the car? Walking away to gather their thoughts/maybe in a panic as to what to do whilst Pheobe remained deceased or incapacitated in the car. The story he is telling from his pov might explain why they exited the car for a period of time without Pheobe?

All IMO

It sort of sounds as if someone saw the vehicle pulling onto a track and told the police. If the 2nd location looked so similar to the 1st location, and that was what the police were looking for ... a specific description of a location.

We happened upon a track that did look similar to the original track but in a different location, which would seem suitable if we were mirroring an original location of what we believe Pheobe was at," Inspector Mansfield says.

I’m more curious now as to motive.

Assuming all these are true (5am reports of screaming, TV damage in house, her being seen at the IGA arguing with him around 8am). So this argument has been going on some time… she’s seen alive minutes from the airport terminal. They were clearly still driving her there.

The escalation of whatever happened must have been huge for her to be murdered so close.

In the presser linked earlier by @mishy66 , the DI said "no-one exited the vehicle".

I don't want to go back and relisten right now, to get the time stamp, but here is another link about it.

Police allege the pair drove the 17-year-old close to the airport in a grey Hyundai but no one exited the car.

Hi SA!!!!! Hope you are doing great :D

Oh I missed that bit. So they just drove through the BMX area with her when she was last seen. Poor Pheobe. I hope they can determine COD to help with the evidence.

The murder could have been accidental.
It only takes one hit with blunt force to kill a person.
Scenario - they are arguing, she tries to call her boyfriend & he snatches her phone, she launches to get it back and he hits her either with hand or something else.

Perhaps even a king hit ... a one-punch attack.

imo

She was so infuriatingly CLOSE to the airport then! She almost made it :(

I can’t understand what the motive could be that it was enough to kill her in the car but not enough to kill her in the house

In the presser, the DI alluded to them knowing what the motive could be. But he couldn't reveal anything ... due to ongoing investigations and not wanting to compromise the prosecution.

Police believe they understand the motive for Pheobe's alleged murder, the detective said.

The BMX track is here, possibly they drove down the track and did something.

The gruesome reality of Pheobe's final resting place: The incredibly remote bushland overrun with wild dogs and pigs where the missing teen's body is believed to have lay for three weeks

A crime scene in an extremely remote part of a national park overrun by wild pigs and dogs is under police guard following the discovery of human remains believed to be that of murdered teenager Pheobe Bishop.

Police discovered the remains in the sprawling Good Night Scrub National Park at 2.30pm on Friday, bringing the three-week search for the missing 17-year-old to a tragic end.

The new location, cordoned off with police tape, is extremely remote and dotted with the prints of wild pigs and dogs that run rampant in the dense bushland.

The remains are believed to have lay at the isolated site for three weeks.

A source told this publication they faced a 'daunting' night guarding the scene. “

'The dogs made their presence and their displeasure known during the night,' they said.

The site is near an area forensics reported finding 'items of interest' last week. “

Those disgusting low life’s left Phoebe to be taken by wild pigs & dogs.

The rest of their lives in prison can never come close to being a form of justice.

IMOO

I agree with one hit with blunt force perhaps

Only thing with the timeline for me is

40 odd minute drive from Gin Gin to Bundy

The call is alleged to have been 8.30, going on media reports -
About 8.30am, before they’d left Gin Gin for Bundaberg, Pheobe called her boyfriend to let him know she was on the way.

If he was seen at the IGA around 8am that morning - as per his interview

* I know he lies but I cant add more to my theory for the moment*

Lets say he was at the IGA and PB makes that call at about 8.30 , still in Gin Gin

Car seen on CCTV near BMX

Timeframe would be handy Inspector Mansfield :cool:

Because then the media reports -
" The CCTV footage is time stamped 10.30am May 15 – two hours after Pheobe was alleged to have been dropped to Bundaberg Airport to fly to Brisbane."

Say they arrived near BMX CCTV about 9.15 roughly - 40 odd minute drive from Gin Gin to Bundy

and the other CCTV picks up the car at 10.30 am along the back of Gin Gin Showgrounds

Take off the 40 odd minutes to get back to Gin Gin to be captured on CCTV at 10.30

That leaves not much more than half hour ????????????????????????????????

I dont think they would have had time to do much at all looking at that ?. Maybe throw the phone and hide a few of PB possessions.

How are they going to *** her and then dispose of her all within half hour ?

Be a pretty rushed event IMO

Had to have put her somewhere close by then gone back to get her and move her to GNP

"they had discovered what they "believed to be human remains" near the Good Night National Park near Gin Gin

Detective Inspector Craig Mansfield said they have been confirmed as human, and forensic officers believe "the remains would be consistent with the time frame when Pheobe went missing".

He said cadaver dogs were used in the search and the remains were discovered in bushland.

Police "believe the remains were not buried", Inspector Mansfield said."

Absolutely disgusting pair of individuals !

Agree likely an accident but I’d think it would be hard to king hit or strangle someone in a small car especially if wearing a seatbelt. They might not have worn a seatbelt but it’s pretty automatic for most to put one on.

And in retrospect, the accused have been charged with murder (as opposed to manslaughter) - so Pheobe's death would have to fall into one of the following categories.

Probably a bit more than accidental. More of an action(s) that could easily, or would easily, mean that the victim would die.

**********************************
(1) Except as hereinafter set forth, a person who unlawfully kills another under any of the following circumstances,

that is to say—

(a) if the offender intends to cause the death of the person killed or that of some other person or if the offender intends to do to the person killed or to some other person some grievous bodily harm;

(aa) if death is caused by an act done, or omission made, with reckless indifference to human life;

(b) if death is caused by means of an act done in the prosecution of an unlawful purpose, which act is of such a nature as to be likely to endanger human life;

(c) if the offender intends to do grievous bodily harm to some person for the purpose of facilitating the commission of a crime which is such that the offender may be arrested without warrant, or for the purpose of facilitating the flight of an offender who has committed or attempted to commit any such crime;

(d) if death is caused by administering any stupefying or overpowering thing for either of the purposes mentioned in paragraph (c) ;

(e) if death is caused by wilfully stopping the breath of any person for either of such purposes;

is guilty of "murder" .

LE would not have declared the car a crime scene but then released it back to perpetrators if they believed that. If a violent crime happened inside the car they'd need to keep it for all sorts of evidence.

If they already realised the vehicle was simply used to transport the deceased wrapped up in all sorts of layers, they would have a completely different focus IMO - such as locating the victim. JMO MOO.

I disagree. I think they did forensics on it, and didn't get much (no blood due to my theory she was knocked unconscious in the car, probably with the gun), but then bugged and tracked it to follow their movements.
A strategic move by police, IMO.
