Bundaberg police confirm human remains found in search for missing Queensland teen Pheobe Bishop

Snipped by me:-

“He said cadaver dogs were used in the search and the remains were discovered in bushland.” (Referring to “he” as Insp Mansfield.)

“Police "believe the remains were not buried", Inspector Mansfield said.”

"We happened upon a track that did look similar to the original track but in a different location, which would seem suitable if we were mirroring an original location of what we believe Pheobe was at," Inspector Mansfield says.”

"It was then that the capability was then able to be deployed onto that and the remains were found".

“Inspector Mansfield says police have not determined a cause of death for the human remains they have found.”

"We will conduct our examinations with a view of course of trying to determine a cause of death, whether that is able to be achieved is yet to be determined," he says.”

From reading this, I don’t think that the alleged murderers have revealed where they hid Pheobe. Inspector Mansfield is saying that they “happened upon a track”…. not that the people they have charged have revealed the location.

There is no need to go anywhere near the CBD. From Gin Gin to the airport you drive directly through farmlands and bush. The BMX club is only a few hundred meters from the airport terminal
The actual entrance to the airport is to the right of the BMX track, technically, they didn't drive past it

The pieces of this horrendous puzzle are slowly coming together.

1. We now know that the house was not the place of the alleged murder.
2. We know that the call made to PB's boyfriend was made by her.
3. We know that the PB's body was moved twice
4. Neither of the accused handed themselves in to the police.

We also have JW latest statement to the media which revealed a few details that, along with previously-verified information, should be considered likely;

A) JW was driving the vehicle. TB was in the front passenger seat and PB in the back.

B) JW has previously committed acts of DV against TB yet during the 3 week period where both were being interviewed and subsequently arrested, TB did not attempt to roll on JW and utilize a DV defence. This despite the magistrate declaring that TB was not a risk of reacquainting herself with JW (inferring a disharmony amongst the two)

C) Police were initially inaccurate with their first search, later stating that they searched a similar access track 9kms away from their first attempt. This would indicate that they were tipped off to the location but not directly shown where to look. This is critical information and should not be overlooked. Most likely an anonymous phone call, but someone gave them a description of the area.

Again, my theory as follows:

The argument escalated to the point where JW approached the airport terminal but drove straight past it. This may have been to enrage PB or to assert control. He then turned around at the BMX club just past the airport. This sent PB into a panic and she most likely tried to exit but was unable to do so. As the journey progressed back to the main road PB possibly attempted to break free which resulted in an enraged TB attacking her inside the vehicle (what with is unknown). With the two fighting in the car (PB most likely being overpowered by the much larger TB) JW pulls off onto Samuels road (30 second drive from airport Rd) and pulls the vehicle over. PB met her demise here. She was then taken to the first dumping ground and disposed of in a hurry. She was relocated to a more discreet location at a later date.

TB was the instigator and primary culprit. This is why she has not turned on JW.
This was not premeditated as I've discussed previously. This was reactionary. There was no rendering PB unconscious and/or binding and gagging as it this would require planning. If police suspected this they would add kidnapping to the charge of murder.

I will further speculate that PB was most likely strangled/choked to death. Limited space inside the vehicle, weight disparity between her and the accused and the lack of suitable evidence to charge from the first impoundment of the vehicle suggests a clean homicide. A struggle would definitely occured but evidence of a struggle wouldn't look to dissimilar to the state the vehicle was generally kept by the accused.

I agree with your theory except I think they've pulled off as they've entered Airport Drive (the dirt/sealed road on the left from Takalvan Street). I don't think they drove as far as the roundabout near the terminal and then back again towards Takalvan St/Childer's Road and then on to Samuel's Road. That would have been captured on CCTV again and police would have been able to see if PB was in the car alive. Based on what they've implied/said, they have CCTV of the 3 of them entering Airport Drive and CCTV of 2 of them leaving alive.

I think they drove from Gin Gin to Airport Drive via Samuel's Road and then perhaps back that way, but ultimately, I think PB was harmed along Airport Road.

It seems insane to me given how well I know the road, that something like that could occur there as it is a well used road, but if they had pulled off either on the dirt/sealed road on the left or even Aviation Cres on the right, perhaps? Or they didn't and there are witnesses confirming they were arguing in the car, but police haven't released it.

As in tire tracks? Would that imply they used the same car to move her body?

Police warn of ‘significant’ delays in determining Bundaberg teenager Pheobe Bishop’s cause of death

“Police say it will take a “significant” amount of forensic examinations before investigators will be able to identify Pheobe Bishop’s cause of death

Inspector Mansfield said the remains were found in “unforgiving terrain,” and it may take some time for investigators to fully examine the crime scene.

“Police have been working really hard — they’ve been doing long hours, putting their heart and soul into the search... they should be proud of their achievements,” he said.”

To be woken I’m wondering by a 5am argument between JW & NB.
She had apparently found out he was cheating / or online attempting to cheat - friends had told her he was cheating; he told an ex that he was no longer in relationship with NB.
Perhaps NB said she was taking the 5K
The car belonged to NB, maybe she didn’t want JW to go for the drive to airport .
(Maybe JW was worried she’d hop on plane to WA as well ! )

Eventually perhaps NB intervened and said STFU as we need to leave for the airport, and JW then turned. … she will have given him a mouthful I surmise as her Mum & Aunt both indicated she didn’t back down.

Just for the record Warshawski, throughout the above post, you have used initials NB. There is nobody in this case with initials NB and it would appear from the context that you mean the accused TB (Tanika Bromley).

I don't disagree with that conclusion but I do think that given there are two parties involved the police will be extra cautious about revealing to the media what has been told to them by either person, at least for the time being. I think they'd want to avoid putting stuff out there that might then be relayed to JW or TB by family members/contacts that could result in the police losing leverage ie. by being able to say "JW told us (or won't tell us) x and y" for example. Keeping quiet on as many of the details as possible for now will hopefully mean they'll be able to confirm a lot of their suspicions and get a fuller picture of what really happened from the accused.

Do we know that the call to Pheobe’s boyfriend was made by her? I didn’t think we knew that.

Do we know that Pheobe’s body was moved twice? I thought the Police have stated it was moved several times, or even just more than once? I can’t find reference to twice?

“Detective Inspector Craig Mansfield said police will allege in court the pair killed Pheobe and moved her body "more than once," with one of those locations believed to be in the Good Night Scrub National Park.”

Police say the body of Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop was moved multiple times, after she was allegedly murdered by her housemates.

This is where the police say Pheobe was last seen alive. Somewhere near the bmx track near the airport. Presumably the tracks are behind the marked BMX Club. And maybe the BMX Club has CCTV that recorded them passing the club - alive.

So, so close to freedom, yet so very far. :-(

Further info that makes me believe that neither of the alleged murderers revealed where they hid Pheobe.

The Police found her “independently” which I take to mean that they found Pheobe without the alleged murderers revealing anything.

Speaking at a media conference in Bundaberg on Saturday, Detective Inspector Craig Mansfield said recent technological analysis and on-ground mapping prompted officers to expand their search into a new area about 9km from the original location.”

“This particular area that has been searched at the moment is actually an extension of our original search area,” Inspector Mansfield said. “

“It’s coupled with snippets of information and also telecommunications data.
That’s allowed us to find this location independently.”

The initial police report stated:
Pheobe Bishop, pictured, was last seen at Airport Drive, Bundaberg around 8.30am on May 15.

I think the times mentioned outside of that have come from the media and may be unreliable.
The same time phone call to friend in WA. He heard the accused yelling at Pheobe, then the phone went dead.

This concerns me. Given that Pheobe was not buried, was out in the open in an environment with wild animals, and it having been 3 weeks since her death, they may not be able to determine a definite COD.
Still I suppose, investigators seemingly do have enough evidence that this was a murder, whether done in a fit of rage, spontaneous, or otherwise.

James Wood, 34, and Tanika Bromley, 33, are both facing one count each of murder, and two counts each of interfering with a corpse after their arrest on Thursday night.

They can't reveal how they found her. That would give the other accused ammunition, IMO.

When someone is charged, and the body magically appears the next day 9kms away, it is quite obvious that someone has leaked, IMO.

No doubt they will stick to the story TW has offered up - claim they stopped the car to deal with the arguing or PB was demanding to be released, that she ran off, they don't know where.

I can't imagine any situation where deathly violence could be perpetrated against the person in the back seat by one of the people in the front unless a weapon was used. Also what about the dog? They had the dog with them too in the back during this airport drop ride?

Maybe the verbal arguing escalated and the dog attacked PB. Maybe they didn't even kill PB, just left her tied and bound and abandoned her, going back later to check then move her?

What sort of damage would these wild dogs and pigs have done? Perhaps so much the cause of death can never be known. Maybe if TB was an active participant in a sadistic plan, she is the co-perpetrator and will never be able to turn on JW. Maybe either one of them will 'tell all' but if so it's most likely to be TB I imagine.

They'll mostly be worried about their personal safety in prison as this is the sort of crime that people will look to avenge IMO. So it will serve them well to never speak and say she ran off into the scrub.
That would leave many questions - where's her bag / suitcase? That's what someone said straight in the beginning (a family member of PB I think) as it's the crux of the issue. Are they going to say she ran off with her suitcase? If so, then where is it? JMO MOO
