Thank you. I just wasn't sure what abuse by Catholic priests had to do with missing persons cases, Bob's in particular.

Back to Bob's case. Hopefully someone can let us know what is currently happening with the court doc's discussed previously in relation to having them posted here before the Disappeared show airs.

Any news on the pending/upcoming court doc's?

(it was a battle with my dad as he saved all her dentures thinking they had gold in them)

Are you freaking kidding me?? ANOTHER vicious jab at her father's supposed cheapness and greed. OMG these girls are getting on my last nerve!!!

Or maybe an attempt to make it look like he was suffering from dementia (as I recall they did make that claim) because any *reasonable* person knows that there is no gold in dentures. Poor Bob.

Melissa (who for some reason it just struck me that these women have to be in middle life themselves . . .)

Well, if 'life' is 100, then two of them are beyond middle years. Grandson AH said they've already retired - although he seemed to be suggesting that was because they had become conservators of the estate, rather than normal retirement.

Ironically, the real gold that Georgia left was in her jewellery, rather than her dentures. And daughters took that, not Bob.

Don't forget the kruggerands (sp) :banghead:

I was going to add the 'bag of swag', but then thought I'd better not. Glad you did though!

Just thought I'd bump this interview - see if anyone can reconcile the 'Our father means the world to us' with 'he thought the dentures had gold in them' comments.

It's worth remembering that the interviewer says that JuM says her husband was working in her Dad's home that day. That he went to the hardware store, and when he got back;

'My Dad was gone.'

When asked what time, JuM turns her head away, before replying 'We're thinking maybe one? Noon?'.

So her husband, the last known person to see Bob alive, told her Bob disappeared between noon and one.

Then he produced at Home Depot receipt timestamped at 3.04 for LE, to prove where he was when Bob went missing.

It makes no sense whatsoever. I cannot understand why they both haven't been invited to 'come down to the station' to explain, as we say back home.

It wouldn't surprise me if they both lawyered up which means LE just can't bring them in without going through their lawyer.

Which makes me wonder, when was the last time JeM, JuM sat down with LE to explain the timeline inconsistencies and any other questions/inconsistencies LE may have/uncovered? With or without an attorney?

If your father meant the world to you, you'd go anytime. Maybe LE can call them tomorrow?

It was just a comment that came up on google under Aussie criminals, when I googled; Aussie criminals, Bob Harrod. I just wanted to see if anyone was talking about the case and it seemed like they were, because there was a tantalising half comment under the google link.

When I searched the site though, I couldn't find it, and the comments not coming up under the google search now, either. Sigh.

I have insider info on that site so will see what I can do. I know that the archive is 4,500 posts - if I have to I'll do it... mickey mouse badge on offer? ;)

You'll get the champion's medallion if you manage to go through 4,500 posts!
I'm sure you don't have to go to so much trouble - it may well have been a single ref to Bob in another conversation altogether.

I was just pleased to see people talking about him, tbh.

Did we know that Chief Hicks put out a call for the public to come forward with tips, in August, 2011? I can't remember seeing anything in the threads, so it looks like it didn't get reported.

It's on pg 2 at the link, under the sub-heading 'City Administrator'.

Did something come to light at that time, that caused the appeal, I wonder?

Ah, answering my own question, wasn't 2011 the year of the forensic search of Bob's house? I can't recall the exact date now, and if I start searching threads, I'll distract myself.

If it was a result of that search that led Chief Hicks to call for tips, it was a bit of a wasted opportunity. Not him saying that, of course, but that most people seemed to have missed it and lost the opportunity to really publicise his plea. I wonder if Bob's family were aware of the Chief's appeal?

I thought JuM looked phoney when she was talking about her father saying he couldn't wait to hold the love of his life in his arms again. He was married to her mother for umpteen years and she has passed. She had to be feeling like it was a betrayal to her mother that her mother wasn't the love of his life.

I've always thought part of the motive was JuM having some sort of illogical belief her father betrayed her mother by moving on with his life after his first wife passed.

Between the money, the percieved betrayal and the type of outbursts we've seen from Bob's daughters, I think it is safe to believe a whole lot of manipulation was going on there.....

Were JeM and AH manipulated into harming Bob? Or were they perhaps manipulating Bob's money and that couldn't be exposed by Bob adding his new wife onto his accounts?

Hmmm. That's a thought. Bob bringing Fontelle into the finances could have opened a can of worms they didn't want opened up. Misappropriation of funds perhaps??? Embezzlement??

They are all past the middle in age and Dad was loaded. Perhaps they wanted to start living their retirement and Dad was taking too long to go away. And with a new wife who could possibly inherit their father's share, it was too much of a threat to that idea. There seem to be many reasons that Bob marrying Fontelle put a monkey wrench into their future plans. And JeM and AH would e easily manipulated in that case, because they stood to lose out as well through JuM.

Oh yeah...this actually sends chills up my spine.

Just breaking away from the horrible money aspect for a moment, Bob and his loved ones have received a lovely email from COAOC.org, in return for the tribute donation. I hope Mrs Harrod can get to hear about it. I have permission to publish the email on Bob's site, so I'm not breaking any confidences.

They had no idea about Bob being missing, for a start (yikes, and these are local people!) but they are hoping for some good news in the future and sending good thoughts Bob's way.

Lovely, just lovely. What a nice organisation.

BBM: You know, that makes me incredibly sad. To think that a man like Bob can disappear and local people don't know about it. Either they weren't paying attention when it was in the news media or there wasn't enough news media about his disappearance. Probably a LOT of both.
