I just looked it up on my DVR guide and "Long Lost Love" is scheduled for Thursday April 4th at 6 pm PT. and will repeat on the same date at 9 pm PT. Another new episode will follow that "Birds of Prey." At least I know it's on the schedule and it will be recorded. Whew!!

August 10, 2009 - Daughter RB
“OC Social Services conducted an investigation of suspected elder financial abuse several months ago and we were told D did not want to pursue the issue. They could not pursue further at that time for that reason. They were again contacted by family before D went missing and an investigator showed up to conduct the second investigation, two days after he went missing. We spoke with their investigator, while all the news crews were outside the house, the day of F's return.”

August 13, 2009 - Daughter PB
“Don't know what contact was given to the CA Senior Fraud Dept. Will have to check with youngest sister, believe she is the one that called.If they are contacting D's house we will never be told anything by F.”

August 14, 2009 - Daughter RB
“Social Services finally conducted their second investigation on the day F arrived, two days after D's disappearance. The media was all over the place that day and the investigator asked what was going on. It was then she found out that their investigation might have been "a day late and a dollar short". We went ahead and filled her in on the Financial Elder Abuse particulars for her report…”

It is mystifying how JuM, who in her own words had been 'dropped' by Bob, knew enough details of his financial affairs to make reports to social services.

If someone else was feeding her that information, why didn't they feel the need to make reports?

Perhaps it's worth remembering that, according to JuM's 'memorabilia' list, the computer in Bob's house belonged to grandson, AH.

And I'm sure AH mentioned in his deposition that Bob didn't use a computer, but AH had seen an email sent to Bob from his financial advisor, or something strange and vague like that?

Maybe it was AH who had access to all of Bob's financial matters, and was passing that info to his Mom, JuM?

If that's true, I'd sure like to know why AH seemed so blissfully ignorant about his own financial dealings with Bob. According to AH, he trusted Bob and just signed whatever he asked him to.

It's very hard to give any credit to that story. I just don't think AH sounded very credible in that deposition of his, when he was talking about the money he did or did not owe to Bob's estate.

I mean, although he came over as a tongue-tied teenager he was a grown man at the time, with a family of his own. Who was, or had been, a businessman, if I remember correctly?

Bob's best friend and the person who saw him much, much more often than his daughters, in the year before he disappeared.

He seems like a very nice man.

He does, doesn't he? The other thing that's always struck me is how fair he seems to be.

A fair man, who just wants Bob found. And somebody felt the need to threaten him.

This link is for the horrific case of 13 month old who was shot in his stroller by two boys. The reason I am posting it here on the Bob Harrod thread is because the family around the shooters are being picked up and charged, one by one it seems, for making false statements and evidence tampering.

If you accept the accuracy of Det Radomski's interview for Disappeared, and you believe that the family is covering for one another as well as the motive being the fight for the trust money, I think we have to seriously consider that each of these family members may face criminal charges. If you take a look at their sworn statements (at least those who are on record) and the spontaneous statements made in their thousands and thousands of posts, there seems to me to be a clear deception going on.

For example, the position that Bob was slipping in his mental acuity.

The judgement against the co conservators in their lawsuit against BL clearly references a portion of PB's testimony.

I followed that link and had to go away and come back.

A mother whose baby has been shot in the face having to leave her home on top of everything else, because she feels threatened?

It's not possible to know if those charged with the murder will be found guilty. And for family members of those who have been charged with this unspeakable, unspeakable crime; it's impossible to say if they will be found guilty of making false statements and evidence tampering.

If they are though, they will have forever associated themselves with the most horrific crime imaginable. Needlessly. When they aren't suspected of having any involvement in the shooting itself.

It will be a self-inflicted life sentence, and all for what?

Using this post for a spring board. I'm going to add the inconsistancies/contradictions we'll hear on the Disappeared show in Bob's daughters interviews.

I agree wholeheartedly it's not going to be a surprise - at all - if there are charges against multiple persons for making false statements and evidence tampering.

We may be closer to arrests in this case than anyone might think.

Every day is a day closer to justice for Bob!

I am more lost with the airing times than you would believe. Thankfully, Mr Z's here and he's going to try and make sense of it for me.

Looking at all our sigs though, I'm kind of hoping people are getting the idea the show's about to air.....

Re emails to media etc who mght be interested; I know I mentioned about posting a list, but I changed my mind about that. I can't help feeling that when I've done that before, people have used the info to get in ahead of me and try and damage - or even obstruct - any highlighting of Bob's case. I guess if they have, they'll have to justify their actions at some point, and I wish them luck with that.

Anyway, I'm presuming locals have emailed the main media sources in OC about Disappeared, or that long-time posters have contacts there already. For anyone else, I'd suggest the areas of interest for journalists needing a reason to write about Bob are:

Silver alerts/missing elderly/lack of interest in elderly missing in the media
An eighty-one-year-old newlywed who went missing
A Californian/Missouri-born man who went missing
An elderly wife (Missouri girl) who is still waiting for him
A former marine who is missing
A former aerospace engineer who is missing
A mason who is missing
A millionaire who is missing, and who is in control of his money now
A 'suburban nightmare' where someone can vanish without trace from a quiet, bedroom community
A tale of how the internet can be used as a weapon to close down the search for a missing person
The downside of trusts set up to minimize tax
What happens to spouses bereaved after a very long marriage
Family relations and finances when an elderly person chooses to marry after bereavement
There is also an entire genre of people writing about changing demographics, elderly people left alone, extended life-cycles leading to pressure upon children, etc, etc
Diagnosis of dementia and the effect it can have on a person's estate
What dementia can mean when a person is reported missing
The role of SAR in cold cases
The role of armchair detectives in keeping cold cases alive

It doesn't matter where you are, if you've seen a journalist writing on any of these subjects, or anything else you can think of, drop them an email. Give a VERY brief overview of Bob's case, and link them to here, Disappeared, and bobharrodmissing.com for further info. Don't forget to include the air dates of Bob's show, and don't forget to thank them.

I'm going to provide a link on the home page of bobharrodmissing to a pertinent post here, to give them a good start.

Many apologies for giving 'instructions'. For all I know, it's all been done already. I am just trying to lend a hand to anyone who wants to help but isn't quite sure what to do to help publicise Bob's case.
