I think it is terribly suspicious. JeM spent hours with his FIL that day. Reportedly. There was no report made of muted colors-the report was that he was clad in white from head to toe and then that was changed with the NAMUS entry.

There are allegations made by the children that Bob was frail, that he was depressed, that he was not eating after Georgia's death, that he was confused, that he couldnt walk distances. Yet no one could be bothered to physically check themselves on his well being.

If no one had keys to his house, I will make the determination for myself that this is related to the enforced distance he put between his children and himself after Georgia died. The one he put into place, according to Detective Radomski, because they were badgering him about money.

However, even if his bio children could not be bothered to travel to Placentia to check on their elderly father, AH was right there. This has to be the first MP case I have ever heard of where a loved one was so concerned, he did nothing but wait in the driveway of the house until police showed up. That he refused to enter the house, allegedly, without their presence.

AH says he is an EMT, but it must be on paper only. IMO, it is fair to say he believed strongly that his grandfather was not lying prone in the house somewhere needing medical assistance. Either he knew it, or he didnt care. That is what I see from the outside looking in.

1st BBM:
This has always been a concern for me, primarily because nearly everyone who lies (which is everyone, imvho) nearly always spits out a grain or so of truth while lying. I believe this to be a grain of truth admidst many lies. Mr. Harrod's physician has said that Mr. Harrod was of sound mind when last seen by his physician. He did not say sound in body. Is it possible that Mr. Harrod was very concerned about his own health, and wanted to make certain that Fontelle would be taken care of financially should something happen to him? Is it possible any of his family members were aware of a health condition he may have had but that has not been disclosed?

2nd BBM:
We're still debating keys, here? Come on now!! ;)

"In addition to being actively involved in Monrovia Job's daughters, PTA and Brownies..."

Thanks for bringing this forward, zwie. I hope Georgia is looking down on Bob, and pointing us somewhere. She seems like she was a lovely woman.

Also, didn't someone else also try contacting the Masons? I know I have in my notes somewhere their info but can't recall if I ran up against a roadblock or was waiting for a call back. I will have to try and look that up today again.

It was me. :blushing: I received a pat on the head and a "we will leave it to LE and not get involved."

It was quite shocking, tbh. I am holding on to their lack of response in hopes that it will be negated by some massive response in the future. *cough cough*

As for the key questions, no more debate by me. This whole case might be solved if we could just follow the path of the sets of keys... :(

You and me alike. :(
Just think how much time it would save in trying to explain coordinates.

The only thing about keys that I would LOVE to know about at this point is location of keys to safety deposit boxes at banks.

Oh well, thanks for trying believe! Perhaps they are working on something internally. They appear to be a very tightly knit group, so maybe they are working with LE and we just don't know it. That would be awesome.

I thought the masons could often be quite powerful, influential people. I would have thought some of them might have lost their patience by now, waiting for LE to sort everything out.

I'm not singling out the Masons, but I do often wonder if there is a slight sense of embarrassment around Bob; an eighty-one year old man just disappearing like that and then nearly four years later there is still no further information, and nothing much seems to be happening or being asked for.......it's not a very nice thing to have hanging over a community, but maybe people are daunted at where and how to start supporting him.

I hope that's the case, anyway. I hope it isn't that they just don't care.

This discussion keeps going round & round for years with the same things over all of the threads...so we now once again revisit this issue about who had the house key.

It is my understanding that AH did NOT have a key to Mr Harrod's home but instead had to get one from a neighbor in order to let LE in for a Well-Being check.

He was closest geographically to the Carnation Drive residence at that time. Mr Harrod's daughters were not; and yes, one or more of them may have been at work and didn't learn about his disappearance until well into the evening. That said, who do you think called for the check?

None of this appears suspicious to me in the least. As a grown woman living some miles apart from my elderly parents, I did not keep tabs on their daily comings & goings, nor what clothes they were wearing every single day, whether they had a hat or glasses with them when they ventured forth from their home, etc.

Thank you for the clarification AH obtained a key from the neighbor for the well being check. That said, it is not confirmation additional keys did not exist.

I agree with not checking on your elderly parents daily comings and goings from miles away. However, if you were working in your elderly parents home and one of your parents, let's assume who lived alone in this case, went missing for 6 hours hours or so, would you leave and drive miles home without being concerned?

I don't think any of us would just leave our elderly parents or a spouses parent home when they had been missing for hours. JeM's inactions are highly suspicious. RB and PB's inactions with asking their BIL direct questions is suspicious.

TY Z. Another resource for you, shana, would be JuM herself. She is voluble regarding her past spiritual history and upbringing on her community forum.

Using the above post as a springboard. While I don't know what denomination.... JuM appears on the missing alumni list for Maranatha High - A college prepatory Christian school. Class of 1975.

Does everyone have to pay to go to high school in the US, or are free ones available too?

Public schools are free. Parochial or Private schools require tuition. Parents can choose to send their children to public or private schools.

So that was supportive and generous of Mr and Mrs Harrod to pay for the high school when they could have opted for a free one. I don't know what the cost was then, but now it's $17,000, which seems a substantial amount to me. Hopefully, Bob and Georgia were able to give all the daughters the benefit of a private education.

I've seen some of those estimates where the lifetime cost of bringing up a child works out at a ginourmous amount. I always think that would be a good way of hushing a moody teenager demanding the latest this or that and accusing mom or dad of being mean for not buying it for them. Tell them how many hundreds of thousands of dollars you are going to spend on them over the years!

Might backfire though - the smart ones would probably ask for an advance payment.

The mods are going to have to close this thread soon and start a new one...make note of any posts you want to bring over and I will ask someone to start a new thread in the A.M. :) Dont forget, we need to carry over the tags as well.

Thank you, believe'. If I could just make a request and ask anyone carrying over tags to please not carry over tags which include post numbers. Those tags are there to help readers find which post # in the thread that info was found.... so it would defeat the purpose of making info easy to find if we had to wonder what thread because the same tags have been carried over so often. ONLY for those tags including post #'s. Please continue to carry over the rest.

Hope that makes sense, as I am running on exhaustion here.

I understand what you are saying, Cubby...point well-taken.

As well, I would like to request that no one creates a tag to a post which calls unwanted attention to a poster without that person's permission. It does take some grace and forbearance to avoid answering such posts, so no need to call more attention to them.

It's unfathomable to me, but in England a private, paid-for school is called a public one, and free schools are just schools, or state schools. I realised just before I submitted my original question, and had to correct it before I caused any confusion.

Very strange why we do that.

Bob's missing anniversary is coming up very soon. I wonder if it would be possible to have a candlelit vigil here and maybe on the fb page too? I have seen that done very effectively and nicely before. Though if the weather is too bad I won't light candles in my highly flammable house - I'll search for some beautiful flowers instead.

I wonder if there is anything that would induce the media to run a story about the anniversary too? It's difficult to see what they could write that isn't just a rehash of old info. My dream would be if the day arrives and LE;
Finds Bob
Arrests someone
Takes someone in for questioning
Makes any kind of release/update to the media

......Or announces that Larry Montgomery is looking at the case, of course.

Just quickly answering my own question here; because originally they were schools not run by King or Church, therefore they were 'public'. And in Germany I see they are called Ersatzschulen, which sounds a little uncomplimentary as well as confusing, to me....
