hmmm...in perusing the public tax records I sure hope someone doesn't forget the taxes need paid on Carnation, as they were due 11/1/13 and will be delinquent after 12/10/13...or maybe it just hasn't posted yet

Absolutely Cubby, there is absolutely nothing that would keep me from going in all Rambo like,if warranted, if I could not get in touch with ANYONE that I love and hold dear...key be darned

I just cannot understand why LE didn't perform a more complete search of the house and grounds for Bob. There must have been a lot of fast & smooth talking going on for them not to search the garage. In fact, if I were searching for an elderly person, having been told the garage was a mess, the first thing I would want to do is make certain they hadn't fallen or been trapped under something.

Which is why I have been so curious as to where the cold feet idea popped up.

It was Fontelle who contacted the PPD about Bob being missing and it was AH who met the officer at Bob's house.

I could see AH "explaining" to the nice officer that Bob had been fine earlier in the day and that he had married Fontelle in haste and had said something that suggested to AH in hindsight that Bob was nervous or regretted the marriage.

Or AH played up how angry Bob had been the evening before and was prone to mean gestures of revenge. And had a history of cutting off contact with his relatives.

No obvious signs of struggle to a stranger's eye and nothing to see here, officer, really.

Is the subdivision here somewhere? Too Scared to explore it...

that is Florida! Down the road from me lol, I looked and thought what??

Actually I think Orange county Ca is one that does not put their plats, etc online...seems I recall I never found it, unlike San Bernardino county

I think all we need to know is there are 4 ways in the house. Garage Door, door to kitchen from garage, door to side exterior from garage and the slider to the back

huh?
so they couldn't get in the door from the back yard, where the laundry is located, yet it sounds like they could come out the kitchen garage access and then left from an open garage door?

Makes me wonder it must have been one heck of a pile of laundry blocking that door next to a washer and dryer

( but i really think Mr H was gone by the time le came)

BBM

I agree with the bolded.

I don't want to be overly gruesome but the reason I doubt Bob was in the garage when LE was there is because it was high summer and I doubt the garage was air conditioned. It would get hot in there as the day went on and then cool off slower than the air outside. If there had been a corpse in there, it would likely be giving off enough scent of decomposition for even a human being to smell.

It is an odour that I think humans are hardwired to react to. I have yet to meet a human with a normal sense of smell that did not react to the scent of decomposition. Even just a whiff will turn people's heads.

but Grainne, do you think maybe he could have been in there when the CL showed up?

I do not know why my head keeps saying she was sitting there when JeM got back from HD around 3 ish, and then he left, supposedly around 6 ish, after she left

I don't think he would have left her in there alone, earlier? I mean she never said he went and ran errands while she was there, did she?

Mmmmmmaybe.

Is there a reason you are discounting the "Long Lost Love" episode (which was run by the PPD for accuracy) where the CL stated she got there around 12 noon?

Timing there is very important -

If JeM came back at 12noon, we don't know where he went and he doesn't have a receipt for all that time

If JeM came back at 3pm, he was at Home Depot, and police have verified that receipt

if she came at noon and JeM drove up while she was waiting, and she was there about 3 hours, then why would he leave her there alone, to run other errand to HD , if he was wondering why the heck she showed up that day? It seems he thought weird she was there, and she had seemed to indicate his behavior was...interesting, like the going upstairs, piddling, and her calling out to ask of all was okay......

oh heck I dunno

i thought the original tale was he showed up around 3 ( from HD trip) she was sitting there, he was surprised, they went in , she cleaned about 3 hours or so,and then left and he followed shortly after around 6 ish

it's like did Mr H leave the premises before CL...or possibly after

I am going to go pretend to pack:)

Mr H is Missing
where is he

darn them all

that is something else I don't get, after all this time, you would think ALL these people he 'helped' monetarily would be a voice for him

if they really cared to begin with...yes i said it

I think the noon arrival is correct. If JeM let Agnes in and she cleaned for approximately 3 hours he could leave right after she left and head to Home Depot. I make the trip to the HD he would have gone to on a regular basis and although I live 2 or 3 miles further away than Bob does that trip usually takes me around 10 minutes. There were (under road construction now) a number of short cuts that avoided most traffic.

I think the barber lady was probably scared off by the lawsuit; her lawyer has probably told her to stay far, far away.

But his own daughters and his own grandson? Their lack of effort, both individually and as a group, is chilling.

  • #1,294
hmm even if she arrived at noonish, and he didn't leave to go to HD until she was leaving...well Mr. H coulda been out there? and as soon as someone got back from HD...well as they say...it's showtime, the coast was clear

so10 ish to noon is one time frame I suppose

Yet after 3 ish, could someone have lent a hand???

( I am like a moth to a flame I can not stay away, God love Mr H, I want that dear ole fella to have some final dignity like my daddy had.)

  • #1,295
Is there any documentation showing what was purchased at HD?

  • #1,296
^ just the time, which was 3 ish, sorry I can't recall exactly....the content of the purchase has never been disclosed that I am aware

huh you don't suppose...I am sitting here staring at a brown tarp hubs just bought at hd

I don't know what a plat is.

This looks a bit like Bob's house, but he didn't have a bedroom coming off the garage.

Rolling View Estates (Yorba Linda - Schmid Development Inc) - page 06 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

That is one of the most similar models to Bob's. The developer for his home was Standard Pacific, and there is a pamphlet from them, but it didn't include his floorplan. His home was built in either 1972 or 1973 and has 1,708 sq. ft. I have spent several hours trying to locate his plan, but to no avail. Tomorrow I'll post several more pictures and hopefully they will provide a little more information.

A plat is a map drawn up by a governing body that shows the property lines and jurisdictional boundaries in a given area with great accuracy. It is an official government document and is intended (in part) to be the last word on where boundaries are supposed to be located.

Something that could show up on a plat might be a subdivision, including the name of the subdivision. A name like "Rolling View Estates," for instance.

The ED (Enumeration District) for Placentia is 30 -35. That info has not been an awful lot of help to me though. The Sanborne Fire Maps would be, and OC has a big archive. They haven't got around to putting them online yet though.

Yes, I've spent a lot of time looking too. Most of the brochures seemed to feature the single storey homes. It's very useful to know which developer built the home though, so thank you.
