CANADA Canada - Jack, 4 & Lilly Sullivan, 6, Vulnerable, wandered from home 10am, Gairloch Rd, Landsdowne Station, Pictou County, NS, 2 May 2025 #4

In the beginning, published news sources weren’t in synch whether one or both days were called in. They have since been “edited”, which is not uncommon. IMO, this is where a lot of speculation started around May 2nd. MOO
Well as long as law enforcement knows the truth I guess that's what matters.

I cant even imagine 2 little kids going very far into the woods. The first scratch, or bugs, or dense bush thats hard to get though, you'd think theyd turn around and try to go back.

Yes it’s tough to imagine a reason why or how they’d go so deep into the woods. If not trying to follow another adult who didn’t notice them, the only other reason I can think of is playing hide and seek, either with each other or hiding from their parents. One of two reasons for hiding, either because they got in trouble (running away) or a mischievous game to cause alarm. But that still doesn’t answer the question of how could they get well beyond hearing searchers calling out their names?

If the RCMP could answer only one question I’d ask “what’s the inspiration behind the intensive wilderness search?” I don’t think it’s a front for a training exercise so I’m baffled.

Not one but two kids, one carrying an object (backpack) and no trace except maybe a footprint. It is odd, all this time and nothing found discarded along the way. I’m not an expert on nappies, but a tracking dog should sniff out a used nappy if it’s in a child’s walking distance, even if another animal found it and dragged it off…?

Im not sure on any of it, but thats due to lack of info. We know they are gone, we know that after an extensive search there is no trace. Thats about it.
Vanished without a trace. In Australia we have had a missing 3 yo, William Tyrrell, vanished from his foster grandmother's house. Many years later, still no results. Little innocent kids. Someone must know something.

They're not looking because Lily and Jack could have placed themselves in the deep woods. They're looking because that's where someone who wants to hide their bodies would put them.

True, but they could have been driven miles from home either pre or post mortem. So difficult for LE to know when to call the search off…. Nova Scotia is the haystack, now to find the needle.. I think of Maddie McCann in these cases.

See, I thought the opposite. This is their backyard. They live there and play there. "Country" kids go in the woods. I lived in a small city, on a dead end street with a giant meadow and woods behind our house. We played in the creek and roamed the fields daily. They are kind of little to roam for hours, but I could see them going a little ways in, and that being what they are used to doing. No one has said anything like that though publicly, "they always play in the woods behind our house". I don't think they wandered off. JMO.

Two small bodies carried deep into the wilderness through gullies, marshes and masses of fallen timber? It’s probably not a wonder then that nothing was found, people usually don’t go to that much difficulty.

It is very different playing in a giant meadow and woods to an environment which skilled searchers found difficult to navigate. I cannot see children finding anything enjoyable about those woods .I cannot see any children voluntarily choosing to go yet alone play where they were surrounded by mosquitoes ,flies and ticks.

Besides that the scratches or bruises they would noticeably have after hiding them. That’s where I’m stumped. If either parent disposed of them then how can they appear without a scratch. I suppose wearing a rain suit and gloves or something. The lack of clues, any bit of a clue is no where to be found. How is that?

They were last seen at home”

Okay, I give, they were not last seen on the road. Keep the “I told you so’s” to yourself please.

Officials said that more than 180 tips had been received, though many were determined to be unhelpful.”

Always happens they get tips like this - I’m sure I saw the children in a Walmart in Orlando a week ago last Wednesday. The boy was wearing dinosaur boots and the girl was screaming really loud. They were with a woman with dirty, scraggly hair and a man in a ponytail.

Exactly.
They could have been taken anywhere. It seems like an almost impossible task, but I really hope there's a breakthrough soon.

The step father says he can't see baby Meadow, but is mother keeping her away from him or is someone else preventing him from seeing baby? I can't fathom why she left the home her kids were last seen in. Did she leave on her own accord or did someone make her leave? At one time, the news stated police told her to leave, was that verified??The house must have been set up for all things a toddler would need?? Or maybe CFSA stepped in? I only know CAS in Ontario.
