UK Eliza & Henrietta Huszti, sisters both 32, CCTV captures them near a river at 2am, Aberdeen, 7 Jan 2025 #2

They were triplets, so I feel very sad for the other sister. She is the only one left.
I think Eliza and Henrietta must've had a close bond with each other that wasn't shared with the other sister as much.

I wonder why that is? I don't know if that often happens in triplets, where 2 of them are closer and the other is 'left out' or follows a different path.

I also wonder why the 2 ladies didn't just think rationally, and move back to Hungary. They're only 32, plenty of time to pick your life back up and settle down.

What could've been the actual root cause of these 2 joint suicides? Debt? Severe depression?

It's very bizarre and very sad.

MOO.

How I wish we knew the answers to all your questions! Or even just one of them! I'd like to add one eg I wonder if their triplet Edit "feels" that they are alive or dead? If they were closer, I would think that she might, but it does seem they weren't that close.

Does anyone find it odd that none of the neighbours, friends and work colleagues who live in Aberdeen have not commented?
You assume they have friends, they seem to have kept themselves very much to themselves, everyone who has spoken to the media has said that, some of that could be because they are twins, who at 32 still live with each other, it could also suggest long standing social development or MH issues, work colleagues won’t likely comment in a live investigation, especially after the media circus that the NB case ended up.

They would definitely have been seen if they walked on the pavement on the other side of the birdge towards the harbour area, however I wonder if there's a reason why police have ruled out the sisters entering the river path and turning right under Victoria bridge. They must be certain that they carried on towards the boathouse. The water levels might have covered the path under the bridge or there might be CCTV somewhere at the other side of the bridge that they didn't appear on. Has this been covered
It’s not like it goes anywhere, you end up in the Harbour. Which is covered by CCTV and is in operation 24/7.
You can see large tanks along the riverbank in some of the pictures

What about them?

I would like to think that this was a fake suicide scenario, but unfortunately the lack of bags being left in plain sight and no further cctv images suggests otherwise.

If it wasn’t for the tragic case of Nicola Bulley, I would find it odd that no personal effects or remains have been found from either woman but I suspect they will be soon enough.

The best outcome I have for now is that someone met them as planned and took them elsewhere, but again scoping out the river location earlier doesn’t fit with this too well.

I hope they are found soon and their family have some answers.

Can someone please explain this new talk of going under the bridge and heading away (what I assume to be away) from the river path? I had it in my head that CCTV saw them go over the Victoria bridge, then turn right(?) onto the path, then going out of sight, never to be seen again. Am I wrong in my thinking of what happened?

I don’t think it is new thinking, they couldn’t go either way once down at the river path. They go under the bridge and come out, they would be stuck and spotted by CCTV in the harbour, workers, folk on boats, as it is 24/7 in use. CCTV on road would also spot them if they did go under and then appeared on the road via one of the bases.

If they went the other way once on the river path, ie past the Boat Houses they would have been spotted by the CCTV there.

The path and area under the bridge would in general been very treacherous to walk along, so I doubt the walked far before deciding to do what it seems they did.

Especially if it seems they may have been worried about someone spotting / stopping them. (Conjecture)

I agree. Whilst it would be possible to walk under the bridge they wouldn't have much options after that. Police haven't mentioned that as a possibility so they must know they didn't go that way.

Yes, if it was fake, ie set up to look like a suicide but it really wasn't, surely they would have left a bag or something by the riverside. If it was real suicide, then why did they bother with a largish crossover bag, and nothing has been found? So what are the options anyway?
1. Actual suicide by both of them
2. A murder-suicide
3, Kidnapping and/or
4. Foul play
5. Voluntary disappearance, with or without help
6. One is alive and one dead

Anything else? My brain hurts.

If you zoom in on Google Maps on the south end of Victoria Bridge, there's actually a Streetview picture that somebody has taken down by the water's edge on the right hand side of the bridge. At low tide you clearly would be able to walk under the bridge, but then your way is blocked from going any further by a wooden fence stopping you getting into the port area. All you can do if you walk under the bridge is come back up to street level on the other side of the road, and if they had done that they would have been spotted by CCTV.

Morning all. Just throwing out my here but as it appears they texted the landlord regarding the tenancy, but the family, who the media says they were close to, knew nothing of any plans, I wonder if they’ve put something in the post to them so they get something from them but not so soon as to alert the authorities. Would they have got that no if they are in Hungary? I’m very lucky that I’ve never personally experienced anything like this but if they’ve been of the mindset that they want to end their lives and have sent a text to end their tenancy wouldn’t they have thought of their family beforehand?

It is possible that they did message family but that has not been disclosed.

If they went under the bridge and entered the water there, their chances of being seen would drop dramatically from already being low given the time of day and bitter cold. I don't think they needed to go under the bridge, but if there is access, it's possible.

Yeah totally agree. If it's a possibility they did go that way then enter the water i hope it's been checked for belongings.
It would be a decent hiding spot if you were trying to evade someone or be picked up by a water vessel (which, imo is almost impossible due to harbour secutry and 24/7 operations, unless someone from industry was part of a plan).
I still say it's possible to leave the riverpath without being seen (going by what I saw in my visit there) but then there's the question of where they went after that if indeed that's what they did. Although, more often than not when someone goes missing by water they have indeed went into the water.

Yes, if they entered the water under the bridge the water would have been starting to get deeper as its closer to where the ships are docked and they could have been swept out to sea much quicker.

Not sure there's a lot of new information though. Can't get over how different Henrietta looks between the top and middle pictures.

That's one thing that's stood out for me from the very beginning, how different they look since they moved to Scotland. They look like completely different people! The photo of them in Hungary with their brother makes them look older than they are now (to my eyes!).
