Every child abuse expert who examined the genital findings from JonBenet's autopsy recognized physical signs of sexual abuse that predated her death. Among the experts who have been publicly identified were: Andrew Sirotnak, Richard Krugman, James Monteleone, Valorie Rao and John McCann. Dr. Sirotnak at the time was a child abuse pediatrician who headed the Child Protection Team at Children's Hospital Colorado. The coroner Dr. Meyer asked Dr. Sirotnak to consult on the case as he suspected SA from what he saw during the autopsy. Dr. Sirotnak accompanied Dr. Meyer to the morgue and personally examined JonBenet and confirmed the suspicions of Dr. Meyer.

As far as I know we don't have anything direct from Sirotnak, who was the only expert to examine the actual body. That he (and Meyer) thought there was previous abuse is sourced to Kolar, while according to Woodward they claimed the opposite.

Recommend “A Rebuttal of Ramsey Misinformation “ on Bitchute. A rebuttal to Ramsey misinformation regarding the JonBenet investigation
It is authored by “Cynic” and is all facts. “Cynic” is well established as an authority on this case from this community. It’s baseline definitive factual non-biased information.
Thanks for the recommendation, I watched this rebuttal today, and all I can say is wow. Great work. I’m not sure there even needs to be any further discussion, unless someone finds this rebuttal to be in error.
I recommend it wholeheartedly, especially to IDI proponents.
In my humble opinion…

Yes, that's correct (or they couldn't agree on the others, which is the same thing). The first three counts would be the most serious ones, and it's clear the evidence didn't reach probable cause for those.

Yeh. Those indictments were literally something else. Who wrote them anyway? Do you know ?

We do not know what the other charges were because everything is still sealed. We can guess that murder may have been included.

Here are the true bills for John, the two for Patsy were identical:

"On or between December 25, and December 26, 1996, in Boulder County, Colorado, John Bennett Ramsey did unlawfully, knowingly recklessly and feloniously permit a child to be unreasonably placed in a situation which posed a threat to the child's life or health, which resulted in the death of JonBenet Ramsey, a child under the age of sixteen," according to Count IV (a).

"On or about December 25, and December 26, 1996 in Boulder County, Colorado, John Bennett Ramsey did unlawfully, knowingly, and feloniously render assistance to a person, with intent to hinder, delay and prevent the discovery, detention, apprehension, prosecution, conviction and punishment of such person for the commission of a crime, knowing the person being assisted has committed and was suspected of the crime of murder in the first degree and child abuse resulting in death," Count VII states.

One can argue that yes, these charges would be considered less serious than murder. However one can clearly see that the verbiage does include they assisted the person who was suspected of being responsible for committing the crime of murder in the 1st degree and child abuse resulting in death. IMO that is significant.

With regard to the abrasion on her neck, I don't have any sort of background to offer an educated opinion with any certainty. There is a thread on this forum from someone who did some good research:

Awesome! Thank you CloudedTruth!

Regarding those indictments….
They are impossible to prosecute. I read from on attorney quoted on CNN that the DA’s office drafted all those indictments. Guess that’s usual? Patting down that legal nomenclature? That is terribly convenient for Mr Hunter. It’s a win win for him.
Then there are the Colorado state statute amendment proposed 2 weeks after the murder of Jon Benet whose passing delayed the Grand Jury process to begin, Got that from Fleet Whites letter and it’s waaaaay over my head. But it’s one more notch up the “you’re kidding right?” Meter….

All those sealed pages…. After reading the Alex Hunter DA’s office drafted, I am not as excited for any earthshaking revelation to be revealed.

Hunter's history of reducing charges and offering plea deals instead of prosecuting is legendary. And it started in the beginning of his tenure, as far back as the '70's. Look at cases like Floyd David Slusher, Sid Wells, Bruce Downsbrough, the Ballards......

Yes. However Hunter has to answer for 13 months of GJ deliberations without a single indictment….then years later the truth comes out and two legally ridiculous (IMO here..) indictments are released and though he didn’t sign off (Really? On these indictments that cannot possibly be successfully prosecuted that his office wrote) he can be redeemed because gee, this is what the GJ came up with….
Add the statute tap dance and it’s a slam dunk walk for the Ramsey’s.

It’s all very tidy. Conspiracy?
Or just taking care of business…

I found this googling for a summary of prior sexual abuse evidence, but it is a summary of the civil trial against the Ramseys.

I've always been interested in the case but just now following some rabbit holes.

IMO they do address the sexual abuse issue.

I'm still thinking the unknown DNA of two unknown males is significant. Her shirt, her underpants. A pubic hair.

How are these samples explained if it was only the Ramseys?

What was thought to be a pubic hair turned not to be when tested, and proven to be from Patsy’s maternal line. There was no unknown male DNA on JB’s shirt.

Okay, can you unpack your intruder did it theory?
Was it an intruder known to the Rs or a random stranger?
How did they travel to and from the R home?
I will set aside how did they enter and exit for now.
Was the intruder there to kidnap JBR? Or to murder her? Or to SA her?
If there to SA, why bother with the RN, especially if leaving the body behind?
If there to murder her, why leave a RN?
If there to kidnap her, why not get the heck out of there once JBR was taken from her bedroom?
What did the intruder come prepared with? The RN was written on PR’s notepad with her pen. The SA was with PR’s art supplies.
I’ll set aside the “fed pineapple” for now.
I don’t buy the RN being dramatic and long due to spinning out. Who spins out into stealing lines from Dirty Harry movies? Or utter ridiculousness - “we are a foreign faction”. A true RN would be short and to the point - I have your daughter. Wait for my call. $118,000. No police or I kill her”
Why leave the body behind but also leave the RN behind?
IMO, an intruder would be there for one purpose - pick one.
Kidnap? Leave short note and take JBR with you when you leave. No need for SA, murder, garrotté etc.
SA? Commit the act then leave. No RN required.
Murder? Commit the act then leave. No SA or RN required.
All imo
Pretty much all of those could be answered with, "Because he was an idiot! A depraved evil pedophilic delusional grandiose obsessive disorganized fickle moronic degenerate callous inhuman violent reckless impulsive a-hole idiot."

I am newbie sleuth and by no means an expert. However there are the facts of the case. They are available for the most part. And one of the biggest tragedies, besides the murder of this child, is all the misinformation that has been publicized about this case by John Ramsey for 28 years,

Truth be told.
Sadly, truth can not be told because Ramsey's have done everything that prevents it from happening. Just some examples that come to mind:
- GJ indictments are not made public. At least 14 pages of actual information that could possibly help solving this case.
- Burkes records (medical, school) are not made public. There is no reason for that if JB's parents were interested in getting the truth out there to help the case.
- Phone and bank records being sealed. Again IMO something that an innocent parent would not be interested in doing.

Innocent parents/family would not need them to be sealed. Knowing them would surely help in knowing the facts and clearing the misinformation.

Ramsey's did nothing to help finding the killer of their daughter, but did plenty to muddy the waters and defend themselves.

Except your intruder was very organized where it was necessary.
Does being an idiot, delusional, grandiose, obsessive, disorganized, fickle, moronic, callous, impulsive, a- hole make you a killer? How do you know one of the family members doesn't fit your profile? Grandiose?
Obsessive? Impulsive? Now, you got me thinking.

Agree and who has Ramsey brought along for 28 years to keep the secret and the gravy train going?

How many individuals know what the truth of this case is outside the immediate family? And why is that secret, to this day, 28 years later, still being held? That is a long time.
Why? If anyone of us had the knowledge of any crime, of this particularly horrible murder, what would it take to remain silent - yet even lie about it? Network? Power, information, fear, money?

Respectfully, that doesn’t really answer any of the questions.
What I had hoped for was a fleshed out theory from an IDI, not a blanket “cuz he was nuts!”. That could apply to any murder, imo.

Who has never committed another crime since 1996?

If you believe RDI, that could also be true for them. There has not been a repeat of this type of murder/crime since 1996. Same for IDI. Same for RDI.
