In the police report, it is stated "they saw the same male and he stuck his hand down his pants ...". Presumably they includes GM who was there with his gun at that time.

Speaking of the police report, how come there was no discussion at all with Travis? He's listed as a suspect and is the guy who shot AA.

There are verifiable "inaccuracies" by GM in that police report. Who knows what else isn't accurate? From what Perez told ACJ, it was impossible for GM to have seen the trespasser stick his hands in his pants, and it's unclear whether or not GM saw the trespasser at all on Feb 11.

Perez says he called LE on the 11th, and that GM did as well. Presumably LE has incident reports for that night, at the very least. That we haven't been privy to.

It's also possible that LE had (still has?) access to surveillance tapes of that night from the camera across the street that captured AA entering E's property on the 23rd. Sure would be helpful if those tapes still exist.

LE and DA Barnhill spoke to TM on the same day AA was killed. Maybe LE then Barnhill thought it most expedient to include the sole account of "witness" GM rather than to include that of "suspect" TM.

Watched the video with sound this time.
Ugh.
I counted three separate shots with a brief few seconds in between each... more time between the second and third.
There was time to hold off the two other shots after shooting Ahmaud in his hand.
Gah !
I can visualize a struggle and one shot going off, killing either aggressor or victim, but three distinct shots ?
No wonder LE at the scene decided there was enough evidence to arrest immediately.

Newly released texts from Larry English's attorney say Travis McMichael chased a man down at the same home two weeks before killing Ahmaud Arbery. Is there a pattern of confrontation? Who is the man in this video? @cbs46

NEW VIDEO: This video was sent to me from the attorney representing the man who was building the home Ahmaud Arbery walked into before the shooting. It shows an unknown man walking through the home on Feb.11. A neighbor reports that Travis McMichael approached this man that night
Hayley Mason on Twitter

That text to English (sent by Perez?) makes it pretty clear that GM never saw the trespasser on Feb 11, and that Perez might not have either. Wonder if TM told LE on Feb 11 that he believed the trespasser had reached for a gun?

MOO text makes it clear English knows of the McMichaels though. Perez says "Travis" not man from down the treet.

Graddy said English contacted the only neighbor he knew at that point, Diego Perez, who texted the following:
"The police showed up and we all searched for a good while. I think he got spooked and ran after Travis confronted him. Travis says the guy ran into the house. Let me know if he shows up or if they find him. I appreciate you letting me know.”

"Goodness. If you catch someone on your cameras, let me know right away, I can respond in mere seconds. It’s totally up to you. Our yards connect in the back and I can go either way, through he front or back, with your permission.
“Thank you for texting me. I’ll put up another camera facing that way so I can keep an eye out in real time. I watch the cameras pretty often.”

“At that point, when I told him I had the notification, that I had the video, that someone was in the garage ... I can’t remember his exact words, but to the point that he said, ‘No use to kind of worry about it because there’s been a gentleman shot down here and I think he’s dead,'” English recounted Wednesday.”

Yes.
That's not the original narrative being spun, though.
The first articles seemed to imply that the homeowner and McMichael's didn't know each other.

Wow.
So, English is saying he's no longer worried about loiterers on his property ?
Is that what he's saying ??
Or is English saying what he thinks Perez is thinking ?

Callous much ?
I am somewhat not buying the apology given out by English to Ahmaud's family.
You simply cannot keep your neighborhood 'safe' by violently attacking passersby or even trespassers.
It doesn't work that way.
Or else none of us are safe in the future.
Just saying.

When I read those texts I don't see any indication that English knows the MMs.

I think there is a little confusion because of where the quotation marks surrounding the text messages. The responses of either Perez and English are not separated with their own quotes.

Those are texts from Perez to English
But I think this one is from English to Perez

I can only see that one first text. Where are you finding others?

ETA. Never mind. I found them. What a cold blooded text from Perez to English about AA's killing.

I believe this is the way the conversation should be presented:
Perez: "The police showed up and we all searched for a good while. I think he got spooked and ran after Travis confronted him. Travis says the guy ran into the house."
English: "Let me know if he shows up or if they find him. I appreciate you letting me know.”
Perez: "Goodness. If you catch someone on your cameras, let me know right away, I can respond in mere seconds. It’s totally up to you. Our yards connect in the back and I can go either way, through he front or back, with your permission."
English: “Thank you for texting me. I’ll put up another camera facing that way so I can keep an eye out in real time. I watch the cameras pretty often.”
English: “At that point, when I told him I had the notification, that I had the video, that someone was in the garage ... I can’t remember his exact words, but to the point that he (Perez)said, ‘No use to kind of worry about it because there’s been a gentleman shot down here and I think he’s dead,'”

There's nothing in that exchange that suggests English knew the MMs.

It’s some kind of town

@shannoncoulter
Wow. Listening to The Daily podcast from _5/11_. NYT reporter @RichardFausset
says when he first pulled up to Satilla Shores, GA to gather details on the Ahmaud Arbery story, a resident immediately asked what he was doing there, told him she'd called police & said she was armed
@shannoncoulter
While in Georgia reporting on the Ahmaud Arbery story, CNN reporters heard "the sound of sustained semi-automatic gunfire" close by, which they believe was an attempt to discourage journalists.

Where are the night time videos that y'all are saying don't look like Arbery?
I think they were posted on Monday or Tuesday. I'm trying to find them now. I don't know how to attach a link, though.

There are two or three images of a man with no shirt wandering around in the house. He is light skinned and very thin. Arbery had a muscular build. I believe that is the unknown male that English was referring to when he said he did not look like Arbery. He is also the one who was captured on camera 3 or 4 times starting in October. He is also seen with a shirt on.

It's hard to tell if the man in the video from Feb 11 is Arbery or not, but the video from the day of the murder definitely looks like him.

The first male sways from side to side when he walks, and Arbery walks differently.

Imo

I think you are right as to which man texted what but I snipped yours to focus on the above. I think if English doesn't know the McMichaels, or at least who they are, why wouldn't Perez add a descriptor rather than simply Travis in his sentence?

Example: I think he got spooked when another neighbor confronted him.

or

I think he got spooked when that Travis guy from down the way confronted him.

It's odd to me that Perez seems assume English knows who TM is in his texts

Good points. ^^^

Well IMO , IF English knew who the McMichael's were before the murder... I'm betting he does not 'know' them anymore !

Yeah, I would think he would say something like, 'I have bad news, things went wrong and the man ended up being shot and killed!'

Instead he says, 'no need to worry about it anymore, he's dead.'

He could have assumed that but assumed wrongly.
