Poor guy just got blamed for the biggest public crime in the entire United States of America for nothing. I'm done until whoever did this (I think it was obvious from the start) is arrested and charged and/or NG is found. Ty for your attention regarding this matter.

Cliff's from Carlos interview -

They detained him but didn't ask him a single question.
They searched/processed his car and his home.
They damaged some things (front door/garage door mentioned).
He was forthcoming until someone in the home interjected and pulled him inside just after a question from a reporter in Spanish.

JMO.
Didn’t ask him a single question?!? What the…

I think we would all love to know the reason he was on their radar to begin with! What prompted this traffic stop?
Definitely would like to know this, but I doubt they’ll tell us that. I wonder if it could have anything to do with his job and if he made deliveries in the area of her home OR if possibly his car matches one they picked up on a camera somewhere around the time of her abduction.

What a very scary experience for Carlos and his family. Wow.

MOO
Very.
Poor guy's photo and details all over the internet now. (Along with many other men with the same name being falsely accused too)

I'm sad that Nancy hasn't been found, but happy that C. has been released. It just didn't feel right . I hope if it was a tip from someone that they're looked into.

C does not have the same build as the man in the video footage, at all. Does seem pretty clear it’s not him.

I’m guessing they somehow settled on him from him being one of the last drivers to deliver to her or something? Poor guy.

Maybe there were some french fries missing from a recent door dash order.

Now that this has been settled, at least on here (for now), I'm going back to my original assessment that this was done by a professional criminal. I'm conflicted, however, on whether he is local, and whether he planned and initiated it on his own or is a proxy for someone else.

They did process his house and car so it may not be the last we hear of him. The fact they didn’t ask him anything did they just want him detained while the search warrant was executed? I hope for his sake he didn’t have any involvement however something must have lead them to him and to search his house.

Could they have detained C because his phone pinged in the area of NG home during the time she was taken?
In my opinion that seems like a lot of le presence and searching if it was a ping onl. Curious to see how this plays out

Wait... what? They didn't ask him even one question?

I guess it's because their sole focus is to find Nancy? They can always ask questions later.

I have thought this all along. However, when they released the footage, that got me real conflicted. The way he just slowly saunters about, the attempt to cover the camera with plants, the fact he had a tattoo that peeked out of his glove - very odd and not in keeping with a professional I don’t think.

In some of the still shots released, I almost thought there might have been 2 separate guys. One of the still shots showed someone that looked significantly more muscular than in the video, but idk.

statement according to his mother in law

Josefina Maddox told reporters outside a home authorities were searching that it's hers.
"(Investigators told me) they had somebody give a tip that the lady (Guthrie) was in the house," Maddox said. "... I don't know who she is. I don't know anything about her. ... I told them you can go in and check the house; there's nobody there. I have nothing to hide. ... They're investigating my son-in-law. ... He had nothing to do with it."

At this time I feel bad for this guy.

A customer on door dash didn't get their tip, so they called one in for him?

Has anyone in here who was set on a theory changed their opinion on this case because of these new developments i.e. the man captured at Nancy's door?

I've been on the fence because there were pros and cons for either scenario i.e. family did it - stranger did it but now I just don't see a valid reason that family was involved - at least at this point.

That man does not look anything like TC to me.
