I had to look up javelinas. Would they not eat bodies that are dumped in the desert?

Also, I am thinking if NG was killed (accidentally or not) by family, would the ‘kidnapping’ be a means of getting a (decomposing) body back to the rest of the family for burial? So sorry that I am even using these words that may be read by the many people who loved NG.

A bitcoin account allegedly set up to accept funds in exchange for Savannah Guthrie's missing mother Nancy is still sitting empty Monday morning ... with time quickly winding down on an alleged deadline.

How would they know even?
If they have access to the address on the ransom note, then the wallet’s transactions are traceable by anybody on the blockchain’s “public ledger”.

Bitcoin transactions are publicly visible on the blockchain. This is the entire premise of bitcoin (but to reiterate, there is no personal information associated at this point). There are multiple websites that let you explore the blockchain and look at transactions. For example, Blockchain Explorer - Bitcoin Tracker & More | Blockchain.com

If we had the bitcoin address in the ransom note, we could confirm this ourselves.

No, 11:56AM, "family checks on Nancy". The contact to the family has been removed from the timeline; Sheriff originally told a press conference someone called the "children" at 11AM after NG failed to show up for church.

Couldn't they be one and the same though? I believe so because I have always thought that just because the Sheriff said the family was contacted at 11, he might not have meant on the dot.

That is why I never bought into the hour search by the family.

Family is told. The family looks for Nancy at 11:56 a.m. The family calls LE 7 minutes later.

Catalina Foothills Church (CFC) in Tucson holds Sunday services at 8:45 AM (Traditional) and 10:45 AM (Modern), with the building generally open from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Yes that is exactly the point of my post.

The misinformation seems to have come from the sheriff. JMO.

It is making me question whether the ''call from church" is similar misinformation and if that's why it has now been omitted.
Would the FBI include it in a criminal complaint (against the hoaxer) if it was false?

You can see the wallet publicly with crypto if you have the address. LE has the wallet address

back to my Jon Benet vibes

last seen at bedtime
up late
out at party earlier
ransom note of questionable origin
movie quotes in ransom note
family members suspected
family members appear in media
Jon Benet's body never left the premises ( interesting)
broken glass and possible break in near rear door
questionable evidence.

mOO

Probably the parallel is between what people were thinking initially and what they were seeing all that time, IRL. Well, the tragedy destroyed everyone, did it not?

The Blockchain is a public ledger. If you know a wallet address you can see all the transactions coming and going into that wallet. It's not private. TMZ received a ransom note that contained the wallet address.

They take on the commitment because they love their mother, but as time goes on it can become very exhausting and time consuming especially when one is married and they both have jobs. Things can always change as well. It may work for a long time and then something happens where it no longer works for whatever reason. Family dynamics change and problems can arise. I love my grandma so much and we're extremely close but taking care of her by myself is very hard on me sometimes especially with no help from other family members. ):

WHERE are you Ms. Nancy? I hope, wish and pray she is found soon.

Nancy is independent!! You're talking about "caregiver" burnout that happens when family members are caring for a loved one when they can no longer take care of themselves. Also, if Nancy needed more assistance, the family has the funds to hire outside help. This whole line of thought is very farfetched. I'm sure AG and her husband are racked with guilt for this happening to Nancy because of their close proximity, even though they had nothing to do with it and could do nothing to protect Nancy from this happening. JMO

Perhaps the strategy is to leave any transfer down to the wire (pardon the pun) in the event proof of life is shown as the deadline nears. If there really has been a kidnap and ransom, that is. Jmo.

The casual interview surely have happened more than likely. But to my knowledge we haven't heard of any "downtown" interviews. I would think the media would have learned about that one way or another. Even if, as someone suggested earlier, these interviews have happened in another jurisdiction, I'd still think that would get leaked. So to my thinking, there have been no downtown interviews of any family or acquaintances. I hope that's not the case because we're a week plus in already.
If LE asked the family members for their fingerprints, and they consented, would they need to do this at the police station? Would a warrant be required even if they were not considered a suspect?

I don't think so because the sheriff also described how the family went to NG's home to look for her. They live four miles away (assuming they came from their home).

Most people are not aware of crime going on around them. My city was controlled by organized crime in the 1950s and 60s (moon shine kingpin lawyer had control of the courts). ~99% of people were totally unaware, me included.
You must know cartels are not all from South America?
We are talking about Americans committing this crime. Maybe your own neighbor is one of them. Cartels are everywhere.

The cartel angle has never made any sense to me. Why would a cartel that brings in $100s of millions to billions selling drugs travel to the USA to kidnap/disappear a random grandmother for a $million or even $6 million? It makes no sense. Plus, let's say it was the cartel. Those guys are criminal pro's. They would be in and out of that house in 5 minutes. They wouldn't stick around for 40 minutes or whatever it was. On top of that, let's say the cartel did it and got caught. Trump has already declared the cartels a terrorist organization and he is going to eliminate them. Why give POTUS one more reason to go after them? They aren't idiots.

What does make sense is the SIL. He was with her that night. Dropped her off. I think there is a strong possibility he discussed $$$ with her. She said no to his request. He dropped her off. Stewed about it for a few hours. Maybe had some drinks. Went back to her place to try and change her mind and things got out of control. Or he could even have went back to her place later on to end her so that he and his wife would get their share of the inheritance. To me that makes the most sense to me, and the simplest explanation.

The ransom is either him trying to buy time and give a fake narrative of what happened, or just some idiots who are trying to take advantage of the situation.

ah ok I thought it was private like a bank account

What if LE didn't put the contact from the church friend on the timeline because that contact and the family beginning to look for Nancy is the exact same time????
