I'm struck by how... f'd up this whole situation is. Just depressing, evil humiliation for the family.
no one knows anything new.
I believe Brian Entin mentioned in his video that it was probably a sprinkler head that had ruptured. How far behind? On her property?
I am gradually come to the conclusion there was no call at all. Unless the pastor verified it. JMO.There’s a
This is a bit far fetched but it’s also possible they learned new information while vetting the call that they don’t necessarily want public.
All to say, there are a ton of reasons why the sheriff doesn’t want to focus on that phone call. Assuming it’s because it couldn’t be verified is silly at this stage, IMO.
It's citing Fox News, which has been deemed not credible here. Plus the expert calls Savannah "Samantha" 3 times. Is this something between Savannah and the person who is sending the ransom notes?
Most people are not aware of crime going on around them. My city was controlled by organized crime in the 1950s and 60s (moon shine kingpin lawyer had control of the courts). ~99% of people were totally unaware, me included.Amazing how people who’ve never lived here see cartels behind every shrub, especially when the most high-profile crimes here have been committed by Americans.
They wouldn’t. That is the exact opposite of how they behave. Why on earth would a cartel cause trouble for themselves by coming to America to kidnap a random morning news host's mother?

The whole point is being as quiet as possible, so they can make money through drugs, human smuggling, etc.
The last thing they want to do is draw attention to themselves for what amounts to chump change.
And when they do commit abductions here, it’s of their rivals - people who typically won’t go to police.
From what I’ve seen, if they kidnap Americans, it’s across the border, and it’s typically people who have dual citizenship.
Communications occur between them and the family, and they are direct.
Next to American true crime, I follow Mexican cartels very closely.
When I say they are not involved, I’d bet the farm on it.
Sure sure, yet that is not what you and others are implying, is it?Cartels can very well be Americans. Hells Angels are home grown.
Why would the FBI put false information in their criminal complaint filing?I am gradually come to the conclusion there was no call at all. Unless the pastor verified it. JMO.
He may just be a shallow thinker who doesn't see the identity of the caller that kicked off the search as important. When asked specifically if that caller had been interviewed he didn't even know. A confused, "I'm sure they were" is not the answer of someone on top of their investigation or dialed in to the importance of seemingly minor (to him) detail. There’s a

And it’s utterly incorrect, as the many people who live in this area have stated on numerous occasions.I'm sure it's a thought because of geographical location, proximity to the border.
No, 11:56AM, "family checks on Nancy". The contact to the family has been removed from the timeline; Sheriff originally told a press conference someone called the "children" at 11AM after NG failed to show up for church. Can anyone link a legit source says that stated the contact by the church friend was a "call"?
I have only heard "notified" and "contacted" when Nancy's church friend reached out to the family after she was noticably absent from church.
What if after the church service the friend decided to stop by Nancy's to check on her and a family member was already there?
Remember the family was "contacted" at 11:56 a.m.![]()
This is only my opinion.could you elaborate on how this federal complaint destroys the official timeline? The official timeline contains exact, to the minute, times of key events. While that timeline doesn't mention the call or communication from church friend, this complaint, which only contains broad approximation of times, supports that a communication from such an individual did indeed occur.
How does complaint destroy timeline? In my mind both timeline and complaint can be true?
DO AG AND TC ONLY HAVE ONE CAR? WHY DID THEY ONLY IMPOUND ONE?So much appears to have happened with the investigation over the weekend, where do you think we stand?
1) As far as Annie Guthrie's car that's reportedly impounded, would they be looking for blood and download data from the on-board computer showing any movement during the early Sunday morning time frame of the crime?
2) Nancy Guthrie's Subaru impounded to see if someone was hiding in the car while the garage was opened? Maybe looking for touch DNA on handles foreign to the family?
3) Guessing that the septic tank check was just a precaution since no proof of life for Nancy and no body found elsewhere?
4) Finding the camera on top of roof was bizarre. Again, there was probably no subscription service so even though camera found and not smashed this time, data written over top of the time period in question probably makes it useless.
Anything else significant I missed? probably so
Thank you for confirming. I mean this so obviously has nothing to do whatsoever with the investigationLikely a sprinkler head busted from the irrigation line. Pretty common.
I agree. And you’ve really gotta just consent for optics, because they’re almost certainly able to get a warrant otherwise.
