AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

Everything else in the timeline released comes from electronic data--phone logs, garage door opening, car data. LE has determined what time the family member arrived and when the call to 911 was made.

I am just curious to know where that data point "specifically" comes from i.e. the contact from the church friend or a specific family member's cell data etc.

Seems odd that we have never heard what time TC returned home after dropping NG off on the night of the abduction.
Thats because they have no corroborated information about that

Are you suggesting a random person attended Nancy's home within an hour of her going missing, and fumbled around at her front door with a ski mask, gloves, backpack and gun, and had nothing to do with her disappearance?

What, prey tell, do you think he was doing there if not abducting Nancy?
Yes, I’m suggesting that she was murdered and didn’t make it home at all, and this is a coverup. Read: staged.

You have no proof at all there is any footage of this person on the camera carrying her out of the house.

You act like you’re part of the FBI but I doubt you can provide evidence of this…

My question was very simple, but... okay.

How do you suppose that Nancy's blood appeared on her doorstep after all this? Because you can see it's not there when the footage was taken at 1:47am.

Why do you think it's the family?
No corroboration that she ever made it home from AG and SIL home that night. Her digital devices did but that's not proof enough. So you always concentrate on the last people with a victim.

I wonder when that card was left in the timeline, must be after Nancy went missing as she would have seen it otherwise?
I'm sure the APS office will be flooded with calls looking for this worker whose last name is not even listed on the card. Is that the standard format?
The bizarre part of his story to me is that he says the police were following the car that his wife was driving. His wife pulled over the car and he got out of the passenger side before the police ever turned on their lights? Who does that?
Likely to protect his family - 20 law enforcement cars following him (sarcasm) - he gets out in case they start getting wild. MOO
I find it quite fascinating to watch this character at Nancy's door trying to work out how to obscure a camera AFTER it's already captured their image. I guess now it's clear why the initial kidnapping took so long, it's because they're a bumbling idiot. How they managed avoid capture thus far is a mystery.
Not sure he's an idiot as he still has not been identified after all this time. MOO
Has it been verified that it was a 9 a.m. service because from my understanding there was two different services with two different times (which both included online viewing) like many churches have?
This likely was Nancy's regular Sunday morning routine and has likely has been verified by police. MOO

The blood is a big sign she made it home.

Here's a link to the Media and Timelines for those who might need to review this information.

And here's a timeline as well.
No. 7 minutes from when the family member arrived at Nancy's house, they called 911.
Here's the timeline established by the Pima County Sheriff and FBI.

I can't speak for in the US, but here in Australia there are concerns for privacy of workers in this field so I would assume that is why the last name is omitted.

I can remember a child support worker getting attacked here once - the person waited outside the government building for them and identified them by their name tag. It was many years ago now.

But then let's throw the statistics out the window for a second because obviously the blood was planted! 🙄 I'd love to know how many times a perpetrator has actually done that before.

Nancy's church had two services in person and viewable online. One at 9:00 a.m. and one at 10:45 a.m.

Has it been verified which service she would normally watch with her friend?

I see. Makes sense.

I'm looking at it differently - that there's no proof she didn't make it home. I just don't see a motivation for the family - surely not financial when it'd be much easier to just wait it out for their inheritance. And if it were an argument that escalated, I can't see they could have hid the evidence to where the FBI at full bore couldn't have sussed it out by now. Certainly can't see them trying to stage a kidnapping/ransom - how you going to explain your cash infusion.

Right! And someone risks being caught by staging a forced entrance to a house where they look directly into the camera. Come on now people.

Ugh. Checking back now and seeing person was released from detainment. Called that hours ago. As I said, it used to be hearing about fed detainment meant they likely nabbed the suspect, but not lately. Hoping tips from video yield something today.

It's pretty easy for them to know what time the 911 call happened. They had that accurately from the start. It was the other time that was reported incorrectly---the time they arrived at Nancy's house.

And that made them look sketchy. And it seemed sketchy it took so long to call 911 but that was inaccurate info. And seemed sketchy that first it was reported that NG's daughter gave her a ride home but was later changed to say her SIL was the last to see her---again, it looked sketchy. But now it's back to daughter driving her home?

Is it really back to the daughter driving her home? Sheesh 🙄

Sheriff Nanos stated to New York Times that it was the SIL.

Maybe the SIL was the one driving and the daughter also rode along.

It is so frustrating not knowing but I understand LE has to protect certain aspects of the investigation.

Nancy's pacemaker made it home too. We can safely assume it was still inside of her and she was alive.

The social workers card left in the door. Its concerning. Did she call, did someone else call for elder abuse? Was N being financially or physically abused by someone in her family or a caregiver?

No Nancy's pacemaker was connected to her digital devices which were later found at home, thinking her pacemaker was at home while connected to them is a fallacy that hasn't been confirmed

Ah. I remember reading that somewhere.

Let’s seperate and disregard the ransom demand for the time being, which has really been a major distraction.

Bizarre to me that it would take that long to report her missing, especially with the blood.

You get the word that your mum hasn’t arrived at church. You check her house and see she is missing and some obvious signs that something is very wrong.

It would not take an hour to contact the authorities unless you are covering something up or preparing for the performance of your life.

The random demand may be an unrelated opportunist, or a distraction.

This may be a very simple case, but so much noise…
Very likely they went thru garage and didn’t use front door. An hour is not that long. Last thing I’d be thinking is that my mom was kidnapped and is about to be the biggest crime story in the country. Search house quickly, go outside and look around backyard, go back inside and search more slowly, start calling friends and family. And THEN call police.
