NEW YORK (TNND) — Luigi Mangione is back in court on Tuesday for the second day of a hearing aimed at barring New York prosecutors from using evidence they say links him to the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

The pretrial hearing for Mangione's state case began on Mondaywith prosecutors playing surveillance videos of Thompson's death on Dec 4, 2024, and Mangione's arrest at a Pennsylvania McDonald's as police questioned him.

20 minutes after the first cops arrived, they figure out the Mark Rosario ID is fake.

There are ~8 cops now asking Qs:
"What's your real name?"
"Luigi Mangione."
"Why'd you lie about your name?"
"I clearly shouldn't have ... That was the ID I had in my wallet. I had a fake ID."


Luigi is handcuffed at 9:51 am, 23 minutes after Detwiler first arrived at the McDonald's and started questioning him.

"I'll Be Home for Christmas" is playing over the restaurant's speakers.
