It's 10:15AM, and Wasser's BWC is now turned back on, and we see her take the McDonald's bag of evidence inside the precinct (we don't see the backpack). Wasser confirms she has an assigned parking spot because of the patrol car she's driving. KA asks why Wasser turned her BWC back on, when all she was told to do was drop the bag off at intake by Trent.
Wasser says policy and procedure require her to turn it on.
"But you didn't turn it on when you got the bag from Officer Fox? Or else we would have seen it?"
Correct.
It starts to get a little spicy as we see Wasser search the bag, now at intake. KA asks if Wasser searched the backpack when she stopped the patrol car, as she still had her gloves on, and turned her BWC off. KA says, that's why she made sure to turn her camera back on at the precinct- Wasser states it's "not accurate."
Wasser can be heard asking if she should be touching the weapon, when she retrieved it during the intake search- KA asks why she asked that, when she already knows the answer (meaning no, she shouldn't touch it). Wasser says she was just following protocol.
It's 10:18AM, and Wasser is searching for the fake ID in the backpack, and handing over evidence she removes to another officer. She's looking inside various pockets and pouches inside the bag.
