The first article said 5 girlfriends. This one was a little later and said 7 current or former wives -

Investigators are in the process of locating and interviewing seven women Robinson identified as his current or former wives, plus any relationships the mother had - normal investigative steps to determine whether the kidnapping may have been domestic-related, sources said.

If I met someone once for a few minutes I would definitely not remember what their voice sound like. MOO

Probably not... Unless they had a distinctive feature...

Like if they stuttered... If they sounded like Pee Wee Herman.... If they had a pronounced lisp... Etc...

Some info on polygamy in Islam:

"Islam "allows" (but does not encourage) Muslim men to marry up to 4 wives at the same time, provided that the man is fair in treating his wives...On a worldwide basis, most Muslim men do not marry more than one woman. The popularity of Islamic polygamy varies from countries to another. In some countries, it is more common than in other Islamic countries. For example, in Saudi Arabia, Islamic polygamy is much more common than in Egypt."
http://www.discoveringislam.org/polygamy_in_islam.htm

Just putting it out there that most Muslim men have only wife. While polygamy is allowed, it's not necessarily promoted, like it is say in the Fundamentalist Latter-Day Saints religion (not mainstream LDS). In FLDS, a man can't even get into heaven unless he has a certain number of wives (3, I think). Polygamy is a central belief & practice in FLDS but is not mainstream among most Muslims & certainly not a "must" to get into heaven in Islam.

There are more Muslim men in Saudi Arabia that can afford all four wives vs the men in Egypt too. LOL JMO

Searching to see if any new info is available and
I found this site (below)- which has a pic of NR wearing
a white Muslim covering. Could this be similar to
what the abductor had over her arm?

Hope I am doing this posting correct (first one).

What a wonderful picture! Whatever she suffered I hope that it wasn't enough to break her spirit or destroy that beautiful smile of hers.

Thanks for the welcome. :)
I am thinking that if someone brought the covering
so she would "blend in"- they you have had to have prior
knowledge that she wears this type of clothing. Do most
young Muslim children wear white? I am also wondering if
that was used as a way to blindfold NR without attracting a
lot of attention.
(pulled over eyes as needed)

The children in my school wear their Niqab and Hidjab in all sorts of wonderful colors. It is a wardrobe choice for them, some are quite glittery/detailed and some just plain. Same goes for the women, although most mothers I see are wearing black. I can say that I have never seen a child in school wearing a white Niqab or any other white form of Hidjab. Just my two cents.

I also wanted to add, I have *never* seen a Muslim child in my classes who did not immediately recognize their mother-Niqab or no Niqab-they know.

Do we see in any of the videos the abductor actually entering the school? I wonder if whatever the white cloth is was used to stuff up her dress to simulate pregnancy, then taken out when she went to the classroom. ITA is it probably some form of Hidjab for N to wear.

I wonder if white is saved for the place of worship..

I see white worn for First Communions in the Catholic Church....

white is often worn for baptisms in many Christian places of worship...

Just some thoughts...

I've said this before, I don't think the girl ever heard the woman claim to be her mother. Kids are off in their own little world. She probably paid no attention to the woman, until the teacher told her to go with the woman. Then, she most likely assumed, "If teacher says to go with her, she must be safe."

The grandpa also said the girl thought the woman was her aunt.

I thought she may have had her "costume" wrapped in the white cloth until she got to the school, and then found a fairly sheltered place to throw it on quickly. It's probably a dumb idea, but it might make it harder to find anyone who saw which direction she came from. MOO

good thought, but in the video stills showing the woman leaving with N she still appears to have a lump (although I still think that lump is hanging too low to be an actual pregnancy) AND be carrying the white item which could be to disguise N after leaving the school.

"The eye covering was removed when the girl was apparently dumped about 18 hours later at a park about a mile from her school. She was found by a passer-by early Tuesday morning, shivering under playground equipment in the black T-shirt."

I know there has been a lot of conflicting info released, but if this statement is true, then police may have the eye covering too. I know it rained a lot, but in order to have an effective makeshift blindfold, there would be rolls, creases and layers in the fabric. Perfect places for DNA to stay protected from the elements.

The victim wore glasses, did she not? Did the suspect remove her glasses to blindfold her? Was she found wearing her glasses? These would be good places to look for fingerprints and I hope these were checked. JMO
