Hopefully when this is all over many interviews will be done with the boys and the divers and it will be cleared up. Just reading that they have already been given "energy gel" I think the part about not having food to give them must be a misunderstanding or bad translation. See quote below:

Divers continue efforts to save missing Thai boys from cave

Ah good to hear they also have people stay with them. I was wondering about that.

Did the two divers have a way to communicate back to base that they found them? Or did they have to dive back to report the good news?

Yes, that's a phone/radio call I would love to hear! Do we know how long it took John and Rick to get down there and whether they have resurfaced?

No I don't think that has been reported yet.

Video at link about how they’re going to get the boys out and the parents reactions when the boys were found alive. English subs included. Foxy on Twitter

It's been roughly 8 hours since they were found. Doctors must have come to them by now and they got meds or food, or both, and drinks, lights, blankets, maybe mats to lie down on? Their bodies must be sore from lying on the rocks for all these days. What else will they have brought to them immediately?

I wonder how far from the surface they are. I wonder if it is possible to mine through from the surface. We make coal mines that go miles deep.

4 months worth of food being sent in according to Thai Navy! Oh please don't let it take that long. That would cover rainy season. They will be teaching them to dive so let's all hope they are successful so they can leave sooner than later.

Those flooded passages, are they ever not flooded? Curious as to how they can drain given their layout and topography.

WHAT??!! They must be doing it as a precaution because of the upcoming forecast. Better safe than sorry!

New video by BBC News from someone on the rescuing team. Says could be weeks or months before kids get out of the cave. NONE of them know how to swim.

Dreadful to imagine that they might remained trapped for months.
The psychological trauma already experienced must be immense.

That's a good question. I think it would be faster for divers to bring them out. Drilling takes a lot of time. I think they will try to stabilize their condition, then have divers lead them out in the next few days. If that doesn't work, drilling from above would be the next step.

They are only flooded in the monsoon season which has just started and will last for about four months.

If he is on the rescue team, why is he re-tweeting what is going on? Without more information about him, his credibility looks low IMHO.

Well I’m in this for the long haul if that’s how it ends up. Praying those boys get out much sooner though. I think much of that will depend on the weather. I wonder if they’ll bring them life vests in case the flooding gets worse.

I wonder who is in charge of this recovery? Who's making all the
decisions?

Not sure but he’s being interviewed by BBC news.
