I say cremation as Claudia had a family friend who was head of crematoriums in her old home town of Malton.
Now Claudias age when she disappeared.
Dangerous age JK......
Oh,where does it say he can’t walk? I missed that lucy38 xAnd it seems he can’t walk so I don’t think he’ll be kidnapping any one in a hurry on his own...

Apparently he died in a car crash in Cyprus
Yes! his son lives in Croydon I believe xApparently he died in a car crash in Cyprus
They say most crimes are committed by someone who knew the victim and what did Claudia walk in on perhaps during her babysitting days?Do you think the family friend would be involved in Claudia's demise Major? ...involved in a cover up?
One of the reasons I don't go to Cyprus-Badly behaves Brits, bad food and the closest you can get to Blackpool I may have noticed Robbie but then he had a reason for being here-he lived on the Island
But what could you find so many years later?Still reading through this but how nuts would it be if the dude in the CCTV had CL's backpack slung over his shoulder when he comes back into sight- which was why the police where checking the alleyway again
Not impossible, but one of the least likely scenarios IMO: all this done on the quiet but dad still looking for the truth, when he could just let the metter drop. Or a massive cover up involving people beyond the POIs, in Malton of all places, where the victim mother is the mayoress... They say that reality can be stranger than fiction, but this scenario sounds more like the latter to me. Of the two, I find the demolition option more plausible, as well as some Criminal disposal methods listed here . I don’t know about you sleuths, but a couple of them really jump out at me.
Besides “I hope she was gone before she hit the ground", I can’t get my head round comments like “so we can begin to put her back together again” and “regardless of what’s become of her”

Oh, don't me wrong, The likely hood of them finding anything after that much time would be slim to none. Nothing organic would survive so things like DNA Blood hair etc would be out. Maybe fibres from from the bag or clothes the person was wearing. But again, given how exposed that alley way was very unlikely anything would have remainedBut what could you find so many years later?
No she was 24. And 34 last year per this March 2019 article:
Friends of Claudia Lawrence hoping for answers ten years on – video

Re Malton, In her blog Krystina said -Threatening journalists attempting to report on Claudia’s disappearance has been common according to one startled Sky news reporter, who says he’s never experienced as much resistance fact finding a murder inquiry as he has done with Claudia’s. Though I detect from his reference to ‘market town’ in the video edit he’s referring to people he encountered in Malton. Unfortunately I've not managed to locate the video clip in question, wonder if its been removed
