While I am rarely shocked - I am shocked if Baez has tried this smokescreen if he really doesn't have these experts solidly on board, especially when he is under a Bar Association investigation.

Seriously - how does he hope to get away with it? HHJP has been going over everything he does with a microscope. Does JB really think the "pulled out for pro-bono" excuse will buy him more time with less than 3 months to go before trial? His logic is unfathomable! :rant: ullhair:

If he really didn't suspect HHJP was going to check up on him - he must have been so horrified when he found out HHJP was going to. I'm surprised he was able to walk out of the courtroom - I sure wouldn't have been able to if I'd told a whopper like that. My legs would have been jelly.

I think I've just seen an example in Faefrost's diagnosis of sociopathic profile.
Cause that's not "nerve" - that kind of a gamble is stupidity.

Am I wrong in thinking that no professional expert or lab is going to be particularly thrilled by this sort of presentation to the courts concerning themselves and their work? I mean does it simply reflect poorly on not just the lawyers but also to some degree the lab itself when they start getting phone calls from the presiding judge wondering where the heck the DNA tests that were supposed to be done in November are? And what do you mean March?

In much the same way I am sure that Kathy Reich is a skilled consummate professional. The very implication that she is away enjoying herself on a Tahitian vacation while she has open or incomplete case work for JB has got to be horrifyingly offensive to her. As is the implication that she would blow off or ignore a client, or even worse choose to do a slower or half 'ed job for an indigent client. I can't see her reacting favorably to anything from JB or CM at this point. Does anyone think that she would have scheduled such a trip if she had had any contact from the defense or inkling that her services were still needed? I am guessing that the last she heard from them was 2 years ago.

I think after the phone call from the judge, and all of the implications from JB that Dr. Logan will want to use JB as part of a demonstration on forensically examining a victim of heavy trauma.

It will be interesting if JB does manage to herd all of these experts into a back room at the hotel. It wouldn't surprise me if they opt to beat the holy h377 out of him, duct tape him and drop him down the hotel trash chute. "What happens at AAFS stays at AAFS" :trout:

They knew. They all knew! IMO, the fight to gain access to the remains site was clear enough for me. The PI's trying desperately to find that one golden trash bag was proof enough for me. I got their "daisy chain" and it looks like a shamrock lanyard.

You're right..from what I could find she magically appeared at the 12/12/08 emergence conference. I suppose it was her connections who got the other big names on board. Kathy Reichs was supposedly flying down in hopes of viewing poor Caylee's bones. I did see an Orlando Sentinel article about it but I accidentally closed it before I could link it.

All I can say is these experts that implicate themselves in high profile cases rarely do it for altruistic reasons alone.

I would love to hear the reasons why these particular experts have signed on to this case. Was it to self-promote, to help out, out of boredom, looking for a new and interesting challenge, or to get to the truth?

Whatever the reasons, I believe they new what they were signing on to from the beginning! If WE could all see what a nignog Baez was from the start, wouldn't you think that very experienced and reputable experts (who have worked with the best lawyers in the business) couldn't see through Baez from the start.

Perhaps they were willing to work with the defense while LKB was still involved, but now that she is out, they really can't work with JB...He just doesn't understand what they are saying.

They knew that they were on the witness list for this case. They knew that they had responsibilities in regards to their research and findings. They know the ropes of being an expert witness. They could do this in their sleep. So why is there a problem with the reports? I would suggest that there isn't and that JB is telling more stories and claiming disorganization as an excuse to delay discovery...Why...to be petty and childish!

IMO LKB was instrumental in bringing Spitz, Reichs and Lee and iirc even Fairgrieve board,,Spitz, Reichs and Lee were at the remains site on December 12, 2008...
I also wonder if LKB was instrumental in bringing Todd Macaluso to the team.

bbm Are we sure they know they`re on the witness list? I`m not sure they do which is why everyone is avoiding JB. I know they signed on in good faith and did their examinations. I`m pretty sure they compiled all their data into preliminary reports that were presented to the defense team but they were deemed not helpful to the defense.
AL teaches her students to acquire experts for theiir defense so that they`re not available to testify for the prosecution. Thats what they did here. Problem is IMO, AL and LKB left when there was to be no ahhhhhh moment from the defense forensic experts and after her attempts at creating doubt with LB failed, leaving JB to figure out what to do with the long list of people he couldn`t call to testify.
Rather than to remove names of experts from his witness list last fall before the deadline, he chose to keep them on and not tip his hat to how big of a loser his client and case really are. Now he`s stuck.

There won`t be reports because JB doesnt want them seen, not because his experts don`t know how to do their jobs. Rather than man up and be honest now, he`s playing the blame game. I wish him luck ever getting another ME to answer the phone to him again.
Luckily for us, BP is checking up on everything JB says and does so we`ll hear the truth one way or another. I don`t think BP will let JB slander his experts in open court.
