I've seen George, Lee was sitting next to him before he testified, don't think Cindy is there.

I"m impressed with the way Lee is handling himself on the witness stand. He's doing well.

If she comes off hostile to the witness she will alienate him immediately and he will have his guard off. I always thought that it was better in a cross examination to elicit the answers you want from the witness whilst remaining pleasant, courteous and professional (the witness in some cases might not know that he has given an answer damaging to his testimony on direct). There is a difference between examining crossly and cross-examination!

However, I imagine that given your experience you think it is best, when cross-examining an alleged child molester (where the alleged molestation is relevant to the case) before a jury that it is best to imply a degree of disdain for him?

That seemed to be JB's way with GA. Maybe that is why he is sitting?

I'm not gonna lie I'm disappointed. The state hasn't won many points today. LA is an important witness.

Elicited the Spiteful B*%ch comment.

Elicted the Bad Mother statement.

Used an attorney that cleverly acted disorganized to question a key witness instead of using a pitbull approach. (ex: why would the SAO not use a pitbull if they were up against a witness that molested KC)

Were sustained on the majority of ojections by the DT.

Have objected a record # of times during the DT's cross and been sustained the majority of the time.

I love the very subliminal messages that the SAO has passed to the jury.

State hasn't questioned LA about abuse b/c if they don't bring it up, then DT can't either on cross. However when DT puts on their own case, they can call him and ask about it then

Because Lee had stated to LE that he was surprised to find the items in the bag well packed and organized...Casey was known to me messy and just throw stuff in a bag...
IMO Casey was being neat and clean during her 31 days away from home..

That was not designed as pleasant courteous and professional though- she was trying for sweet, approachable and harmless but it came over as contrived and phony..

I only watched a few moments of LA testimony but he does seem.more open to the defense. I always thought he and ICA had an odd relationship. It seems like he still supports her even though her parents have turned against her. He is not helping the State imo.

I sort of agree. i think the difference we see in LA is the difference between how he responds to succinct questioning as opposed to unfocused questioning.

The defense does not have much to work with. They are trying all angles and they will likely lose, but this attorney is better than Mr. George and FAR, FAR outclasses JB!!!

BTW, I hate how the camera focuses on the attorneys during sidebar. Who cares? let me see casey's face! (My internet is too slow for a feed with a split screen, so I use ones that do not show her reaction). Ugh

I dunno but BS just said that the defense can NOT ask him about the 'sex abuse' cos it was not brought up in direct..Maybe this is why it wasn't?
