I think he's being optimistic.

There are two or three LE officers out in the hall...

And George and Cindy have already testified...


And the defense team CLAIMED they had half a dozen witnesses AFTER the grief expert.

AFTER her. (We haven't seen her and she is supposed to testify today.)

So in MY mind they are going to call 6 or more people after that woman.


They also were planning to call:

River Cruz - reported in the courthouse

Likely Kronk for another reason - reported in the courthouse again today

Yuri likely for another reason - reported in the courthouse again today

Roy Kronk's son - reported to be testifying today


Jesse Grund - proffered yesterday

Most certainly Lee Anthony again for some reason - just a guess


Then you add another 2 officers... that is about right for the defense team's idea of half a dozen.


I am not optimistic... I won't believe they are done until they are done...

I think they have just the right number of people to call 6 - 12 more AFTER the grief expert.

It's been mentioned on IS and I'm not entirely sure I understand the legalese but to put it simply, apparently the SA do not have to prove premeditation for 1st degree murder in this case because of the secondary charge of child abuse. If the jury reaches the conclusion that it was murder, even not premeditated, and also reaches the conclusion of child abuse, that creates an aggravating factor and bumps up any murder charge to 1st degree.

That is true, but what I'm concerned with is the hard time the jury in the Barker case had with premeditation may correlate with a jury here veering between a drowning accident and murder.

Don't forget JG and the 2 proffered witnesses (jail guards). Cm said 6 before they were proffered vs testified in front of the jury.

Bill S forgot about those, but he forgets about a lot of things...

2 jail guards were deemed irrelevant after proffer....he has not released decision about JG
