I agree that I think he is lying. Not seeing your father since you are 8, don't want your mother to know you are talking to your dad...that's some shady business.

I think he is being truthful. I do not think he would risk his career in the CG by perjuring himself for this. You might not like what he has to say, but that doesn't make him a liar. I find him very credible.

It's the way he said it. My gut says he's not being honest about that statement at least. I don't get any other read on him. But do I believe he holds ill will towards his father, yes I do.

He was also subpoenaed - Rodriguez was an expert "for hire"

It may also have to do with the fact that if Rodriguez was part of any classified research projects, the DOD has to approve the testimony. If you are a member of the armed services it is handled different. We have a professor at in my dept who has some type of classified clearance and when he has to testify or give his expert opinion. the DOD has to approve.

I feel bad for the kid in a sense. Doesn't see his dad as a little boy and unfortunately some parents aren't smart or kind enough not to trash the other parent.
