I worked for a vet, in South Florida, and when we gave the deceased pet back, it was either the way they came in (blanket) or in a thick black plastic bag knotted at the opening, accompanying blankets folded. Otherwise they put them in the deep freeze, in the black bag, to be taken to the crematory.
