Pardon the phrase but there will be a reason why that house, that night, that hour, it was do or die.

I kinda agree with SG here that he was probably thinking of killing whoever was his target for a long time, but all the previous times he went there he never got a good opportunity. They were probably partying, had people there, were loud, etc. You can see by his aimless driving that this time wasn't a a very good opportunity either (Dylan went to sleep mere minutes prior to the attack, , Xana was definitely awake) but at this point he was probably pissed off and decided to just impulsively go for it as the house seemed relatively quiet compared to how it usually is. You brought up a good point about his driving. Minutes prior to him finally parking with the u-turns, going back and forth and all that, it seems he's not really sure what he wants to do. Whether he wants to strike now, go drive around and wait some more (but at this point he didn't really have a lot of time before it started getting brighter) or just abort the attack altogether. It seems to me he just said 'screw it, I have to do this now' and just as he was in the process of leaving he turned around and went back, unfortunately

She has the nerve to complain specifically about how the State has access to a discovery processing program that even supposedly has AI summarization and captioning of videos/audio....but if she says that she and only she can go through all the discovery herself, why would we think that she would even make use of such a program?
Try to keep in mind, when AT speaks it’s usually some form of fabrication - weight of all the planets being what they are & such. You can bet motions are being typed as we all converse.🤭

But.....so would a slash from that knife across her face. Why punch, when the blade has every advantage?! One quick slice across the throat would keep her from screaming.

Last night I was listening to a couple of brilliant WSers. Could it be, she simply woke up to what was happening to Maddie and out of instinct started kicking at him?

I think he got so pi$$ed so ANGRY he clocked her with the butt of that knife. SG said he did see the autopsy for his daughter. He said she had multiple hits to her face.

Now....how do you go from holding the knife a certain way (stabbing MM) to quckly repositioning that knife to hit KG in the face with the butt?

Maybe BK "repositioned" his hand because she kicked his hand, the knife fell on Maddie and in one swoop he picked it up and hit her face repeatedly.

Or it was suggested, while stabbing MM the force of the knife caused it to become lodged with in a bone for just a second. He clocked KG from screaming with his fist, grabbed the knife again (in a different position) and used the butt to repeatedly hit her face.

Others have caused me to try to think outside the box...
This is just a theory as to position of the knife and how it could be used to hit a face.
Standing at the side of the bed, with a direct single stab to the chest or back (depending on position of the victim). Butt of knife is at the thumb side of hand, blade down. Second person is sleeping on her stomach, wakes up, pushes up with arms and looks towards killer. Tip the thumb and butt towards the person with their face towards you and give it a hard shove. Break a nose, easily. Maybe more than one hit. Person retreats to the corner. Killer leans over to stab and gets kicked. Legs are slashed, hands are slashed, who knows what else is slashed and fatal stabs happen. I shudder to think she may not have been deceased when he left the room, but unable to speak/shout (maybe throat slashed) and unable to move and bled out.

By now, most here could draw a makeshift map of the route her client took to the house as well as each visit he paid within. She needs a spreadsheet?

Apparently SHE didn’t smell into what she was steppin’.

Reeks of a pre-planned last ditch effort of an appeal on the grounds of ineffective council…..

Yes! Though I think, maybe a delay to trial is first priority. He actually raised the notion of calculation, timing and trial delay with AT right there at the hearing.

Hippler, I guess, had to address what AT stated in court at face value for the record. Basically he found that her assertions rang hollow but urged her get help if she needed it given there is time enough until trial.

In a nutshell it seems to me he found there was not only no merit in the claims made against the state but also the claims defense made about themselves in terms of the discovery. Jmo

Sadly, a left jab would break her.
Didn't we think he had a bruise on his left hand? Maybe a blister on that thumb on the awful selfie?

Of course—-he will no longer be my fiancé once he becomes my husband!

🤩🤩🤩 🧑‍⚖️ 🥰🥰🥰

HA!

Show us the ring.

It really does matter what judge is on a case. Before our eyes we are seeing marked differences between Judge Judge (cool name) & Judge Hippler.

Judge Judge said he would allow for continual hearings every month making the whole process indefinite. He seemed resigned to it yet he clearly expressed dissatisfaction with endless motions. He kept the trial date "up in the air" and seemed not to know if he would move it out of Latah County.

Finally ruled to move it to Boise County and I assume Judge Hippler is the one who set the trial date.

I think AT knows she's BSing and she knows the judge knows it too. She has to take her shot. She admitted as much when he called her out on something during one of the hearings and she was just like, I know, I just need to have this in the record.

I think Hippler did it to get it on the record.

To make the record, so later, AT can't claim the defendant didn't have adequate/effective counsel. If she chooses not to avail herself of additional resources/personnel, it's a strategy she's choosing. He's making it clear that effective strategy isn't the same thing as ineffective counsel. There's no appeal process for ineffective strategy.

There is however really effective conviction for it.

And it can't come soon enough, "it" being when Lady Justice takes the DP and punches BK in the face with it.

I do not find anything to indicate my steps are being followed digitally and I have a new smart phone. My fitness app has people give information and sign up.

iPhone? If I recall correctly almost everyone in the house owned an iPhone.

It’s in the first few lines. The health app automatically counts steps. I get a new one every year and this behavior has been there for at least a decade.

I don’t know what Android or other mobile operating systems do.

Oh yes, judges really matter. Think how different the OJ trial might have gone with a different judge!!! just sayin'

Agreed. I didn't think I would find another Judge as good as Judge Werner in Colorado but I was wrong!
I was thinking this same thing earlier! 😍
