Why spend money testing further? Because most murder victims are killed by someone they know. I'm not saying THESE girls were, but it seems like police work 101 to me (my opinion)! Especially since the victims were children! Why wouldn't they is a more logical question to me.

As always, JMO.
LE is adamant BG killed the girls and BG is a male. Everyone on the trail at that time is accounted for. Libby's female relatives are not on the trail.

Well, I'm aware of that. But this is a trial for a presumed innocent man. We don't just take LE's word for it in ANY case, including this one (or trials wouldn't even be a thing). We trust them to cover all the bases to prove the case to the jury, including testing all the evidence. Again, in all trials, not just this one.

They did work it out, at least it's strongly implied by the defense attorney who mentioned this. They couldn't know that hair likely belonged to a female member of Libby's family unless they tested it.

From what Barbara MacDonald said on CourtTV LIVE is that the State were scrambling to get it tested.

May not be all worked out just yet.

Mightn't be relevant, but it might be as well.

BTW:
The unspent bullet has never been tested with LE ones as it was brought up by Baldwin today.

No, but he dressed her, expressed remorse, and killed her instantly. So it's *more* mercy than Libby.
I have to disagree. That could just mean he was more fixated on her, and that she was the focus of his very unwanted attention. Libby's more chaotic death could be because she didn't comply to his fantasy, fought, tried to run, or was just a 'spare' that he had to get rid of to get access to Abby.

We know so little at this point, I think it would be a grave mistake to attribute any of the killer's actions towards a young girl he murdered as indicative of care, consideration, or kindness, and certainly not of any kind of genuine remorse.

Definitely not mercy. Mercy would have been to never approach them in the first place.

Agreed. If any case requires close scrutiny it's this one.

Kelsi told the jury she gave DNA to police a few days ago and it was not the first time she been asked that.

During cross examination, Patty said she learned months later that Libby wasn’t wearing pants when searchers found her. She also told the court she provided a sample of her own hair two days ago for DNA analysis. Patty claimed she had done this a few times over the years.

As long as you don’t admit to being at the same place and time as a brutal murder, then change your story later, you should be ok. Don’t leave a knife sheath behind either!

Those are amongst the things that make me lean towards believing RA is the guy.

But I can so easily put myself into those shoes. Likes to go on walks by self? Check. But likes to do so to listen to music and unwind. Not able to account for when/where I was? Check. But lives alone and doesn't check in/out with anyone. Leaves phone at home, meaning no traceability there? Check. But likes to wear thin workout clothes without the extra weight. Works in the community and people seem to like me? Check. But also a very quiet, cautious dude.

I get there are plenty of reasons why RA is looking guilty.

There are just so many "Check...but"s that I can place myself into. I just really, really hope the state has the goods. More than what we know so far...because: was I at spotted leaving my apartment on security footage 15 minutes ago? Check...but..."

Must be incompetent if the Prosecutors are scrambling to get it tested right now.

Just two days ago some of Libby's family were tested to see if there is a connection.
I did not see anything saying prosecutors were getting it tested "Right now"
Please add a link or info.

He said he saw her. She said she saw him. He also said he was on the bridge looking at fish. So yeah. I think thats saying he was seen, specifically.
Where is a source? (Article, document, TIA) Who is “she”?

Libby’s recording of the kidnap wasn’t until 2:47 so it would not overlap
The video was taken at 2:13 p.m. Feb. 13, 2017, about 45 minutes after the two girls were dropped off at the bridge by a relative.
