It was a Carhartt, and Carhartts have conspicuous logos.
By keeping that info back with a smudge on the still of BG, other coats turned in could be eliminated.

If he was interrupted before SA could happen, then I would wonder how he had time to drag bodies and stage them as he did, and cover them with sticks as he did? MOOOO. He was clearly taking his time in setting up that scene in my opinion based on the limited bits we've heard to date about it.RE: DNA. From the images of Bridge Guy and the location of the bodies, it makes sense to me that there was no Bridge Guy DNA found. He was completely covered--hat on, so no hairs....long sleeved coat, so no scratched arms leading to DNA from under the girls' fingernails. Given the hat, coat, and being described as being overdressed for the weather, gloves would be a natural assumption. At that point all you have exposed is the face--and he was reported by witnesses as having a running mask or similar on covering the lower half of his face. If he was interrupted before a physical SA could be attempted/completed upon the girls as reported, no DNA there.
There might have been a small chance for a bit touch DNA on the girls' necks as he attacked them (if he took off/wasn't wearing gloves)...but that would likely be lost in the sheer amount of their own blood.
Sure. But imo, not that unusual for a man to own a dark black or blue jacket in any particular brand... they seem fairly common. In the absence of anything significant that ties his jacket to the kids or the crime... then its just a jacket imo. I was really hoping that LE would have some sort of DNA link there but without it, that is just another jacket imo.....
Kohr also said there were no visible signs that the girls were sexually assaulted. If he was interrupted before SA could happen, then I would wonder how he had time to drag bodies and stage them as he did, and cover them with sticks as he did? I believe each round is pushed into the magazine individually. Wiping down round & latex gloves while loading magazine might avoid fingerprints as well as some of the items pointed out by the ballistics expert testimony.Excuse the dumb question, as I know very little about guns, but why wouldn't there be at least a fingerprint on the bullet casing? Are bullets in a cartridge loaded as a group (in a cartridge) into a gun? So if the bullet was wiped clean of prints at the factory and loaded into a cartridge (with other bullets) for purchase, only the cartridge would be likely to have the handler's prints? Do bullets come preloaded into cartridges?
Not an opinion or fact, but genuine questions because I don't understand.
The interruption might not have been because someone was coming along and he was in a hurry. Maybe Libby fighting him was an interruption. Or maybe he had second thoughts about hurting girls and interrupted himself. Maybe the cold water dampened his drive. We don't know yet what the interruption was.If he was interrupted before SA could happen, then I would wonder how he had time to drag bodies and stage them as he did, and cover them with sticks as he did? Q: we heard there were no defensive wounds on the kids per testimony yesterday - would them fighting back have left some sort of defensive wounds? https://fox59.com/delphi-trial/delphi-murders-combative-testimony-from-another-bridge-guy-witness/BBM
M00 but, maybe he was getting strong resistance or they were fighting back, so he had racked it again at the murder scene, likely in an act of intimidation.
If that is the case I hope one or both of them fought back!
I don't know how I didn't think of this before, but I wonder if the interruption is one of those details only the killer would know that came out in the confessions? The interruption might not have been because someone was coming along and he was in a hurry. They may not all have even belonged to him? Some could have been the wife's or his daughters imo... either way, i have MANY of the devices I've owned over the years but I did get rid of a few... eg: I have my Nokia 8390 still but not the Razor flip phone I got immediately after that one. I have many from after that point sure, but not all and there are various reasons - one I gave to a relative, one I traded in... some I lost in a move.... lack of the device RA had at the time isn't evidence of a crime imo...Yes because I dont have to dispose of evidence. I have every iPhone I have ever brought in my cupboard that are outdated.
That’s the whole point here he obviously hoarded electronics yet the one from that time period has mysteriously vanished.
Why or how would there be a DNA link 6 years after the crime?Sure. But imo, not that unusual for a man to own a dark black or blue jacket in any particular brand... they seem fairly common. Right? He has "confessed" to everyone EXCEPT to JG during the multiple times he has been in court before the trial and all through the trial. You'd think if he was h*ll bent on confessing and felt no one was listening he'd be screaming it from the table at which he is presently sat, no?If he did feel like that and allegedly made “60+ confessions”, (talk about overkill, no pun intended) then why didn’t he just plead guilty?
Correct, but even if he didn't wear gloves (I really think he wouldn't have even thought of this), the odds would still strongly be in his favor, especially considering the crime occurred outdoors.I believe each round is pushed into the magazine individually. Wiping down round & latex gloves while loading magazine might avoid fingerprints as well as some of the items pointed out by the ballistics expert testimony.
How would LE know they had THE jacket or a random one? I always just assumed they'd know because they'd expect to find DNA in it or on it which would link to the kids / the crime, no? mooo3 yrs ago HLN Barbara MacDonald interview; she emphasized THE

The sheriff’s office was dispatched just after 3:30 in the morning on June 18, 2015, according to records obtained by FOX59. The sheriff said Allen was allegedly drunk and his wife took him to a Lafayette-area hospital for a medical evaluation.
Sheriff Leazenby said no law enforcement action was involved other than responding to “keep the peace.”

Three out of five people who saw him that day were in one group, walking together. That’s ONE encounter with ONE man. And you have the odd fact that RA seems to report seeing a group of girls at that very time.I think he’s guilty but I also think everything they have is so poor, it was an awful bitched investigation. They haven’t convinced me he is bridge guy, you have no dna, I’m not convinced he was the guy the girl saw “muddy and bloody”, she said he had different colored pants, I believe some girls saw another, younger guy at the trails, that guy could literally be the murderer
Im not even sure the jury will convict him, who knows

My guess is the interruption was step dad Derrick, who when the girls were not at the pick up spot, walked down a side trail yelling their names. One thing I noticed & am unsure if it was ever asked of RA was that he claimed during interview with Mullin that he drove through Delphi to go to the bridge that day. I don’t recall if anyone in LE asked him why he drove past the main parking area & parked at the CPS building. From my understanding he went to Freedom Bridge (as seen by 3 teens & youngster) first. Seems like an odd choice to me.
