This makes me so mad. I thought by the way social media was talking about this that they didn’t have an expert at all now that Gull had ruled out that other guy.

I should have known better.
After following this case, I don't take anything at face value any more. Not from the D side, anyway. I just assume it's probably twisted somehow, because inevitably, that's what turns out to be the truth. And by the D, I'm speaking broadly, not just the literal defense team, I'm looping in any kind of information that hints at a conspiracy or truther narrative.

MOO

What would the consequences be? Is there a law that says they can't leave once they're sworn in? I'm genuinely asking - @AugustWest any help here pls? If a juror has had it with a trial for whatever reason - stress, trauma from whatever is presented etc etc... being sat in lousy chairs, unhappy with sequestration overall, is there some actual law that says they cannot simply walk out of court and refuse to go back? Any other lawyers happen to know? Ty in advance! NOT moo - actually asking!
In my state, a person who simply ignores jury duty can be held in contempt of court. Can’t imagine walking out of an active criminal trial without discussing with a judge would warrant a better outcome.

Any person who fails to appear pursuant to such order or who fails to show good cause for noncompliance with the summons may be fined up to $1,000.00, imprisoned not more than three days, ordered to perform community service, or any combination thereof.

So far behind on this case, but I'll catch up eventually. I read some posts about there being evidence on devices wherein-- RA had looked up articles in reference to this case.

Well to that I say... so what? God forbid that is reasoning to find a person guilty...if so, we are OVERWHELMINGLY toast!!! JMO

Ty - that is about the summons - I appreciate the help though.

I understand that idea - but is there any official link to any actual set law on this matter? I'm googling and what I see is you can be held in contempt for failing to respond to jury summons - I haven't seen anything yet about what happens if a juror just up and walks out and refuses to go back? I can see how this might cause a mistrial and the trouble that would cause - but I"m not seeing anywhere that shows any actual laws on this? Maybe they haven't had it happen yet so no such law has had to be made? Moooo.
I don’t think there is a specific law. The jury instructions/charges are a court order. They would be violating the court order if they just walked out. Which would lead to the contempt situation I described.

LOL-- Yep, you are behind.

The search of the articles is a nothing burger, IMO and Nobody is saying that is the reason to find RA guilty.

I mean, you should see my search history. YIKES

However, the accumulation of other testimonies, added together, tell the truth.

Testimony resumes Saturday, which is the second-year anniversary of Allen's arrest. The prosecution is expected to call a DNA expert to the stand. The trial is expected to conclude in mid-November.

Thank you!! I am genuinely curious! Any help super appeciated!
My initial thought was a contempt of court charge, and according to this Indiana lawyer, that's what it is. I could probably go find a law or some case law on the issue, but I think I'll take this guy's word for it.

Failure to go to jury duty in Indiana could have serious consequences. All Indiana residents with few exceptions are required to appear when summoned to do so by the district court. Failure to comply with these court orders could come with serious penalties, including community service, fines of up to $1,000, and as many as three days in jail.

6. WHAT IF I DON’T SHOW?

If you FAIL TO APPEAR, you could be found in Contempt of Court
, so please make sure to remember your date of service.

Look up what happens when a juror absconds. Different outcomes and penalties, depending on the type of jury and state.

Ah! Ty! I'll delete my last post then!

They seem to be going chronologically. My hope is they have witnesses prior to the confessions that can testify to behavioral changes or comments he made.

So I’m hoping they don’t get to that tomorrow.
Have we heard what if anything was found in his car yet? Or just the search of the house

Therein lies the problem to me. We talk a lot about believing what RA says when he "confesses" but then why don't we believe the witnesses when they describe a younger man, a taller man, puffy hair man, a man in tan pants... etc etc etc??? MOOOO
Because they said something else that trumps the initial descriptions. With their own mouths, they said that the descriptions were the best they could do, until they saw the BG photos and all went 'I was wrong before, this is exactly who I saw!'

Or should we believe that the 3 girls who saw the man together and described him differently each, saw a shapeshifter who changed every time a different person looked at him?

All MOO.

Can they also give the last known location of that phone? Possible dumping ground?
Once the phone was turned off and presumably the battery and the SIM removed, there is no way to track the device. I am guessing the final switch off would happen at home or at work, and the dumping could have happened literally anywhere, afterwards. All MOO
