Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #204

I doubt it--Saturdays are short court days, and they aren't going to want to start the confession witnesses and then have to wait until Monday to finish them.
IANAL, and I hate preformative tricks from either side, but a tiny part of me wishes that the last witness on Saturday introduces just ONE of the handwritten confessions, maybe from March.

That way the Jurors have almost 48 hrs to contemplate. Ok, it is just one confession. Without details. It doesn't change my mind, not really. And then Monday comes, and the confessions and their details build and build and build, hopefully over the course of one or two days.

That would be effective.

All musings, and MOO

Also in other court news regarding leaked photos, MW's case was DISSMISSED.
I guess it wasn't that big of a deal after all.

Yes, after he completed a pretrial diversion program and met requirements stipulated by the state…

I have located the interview KAK had with Vido from ISP on 19AUG20. There is discussion about the Delphi case & I need to reference it but it’s on a pay to download type of site & I can’t see it all now due to accessing it too many times. It’s a state of Indiana court document. Can I request someone with more knowledge in finding that doc elsewhere. Unsure of how to proceed without violating WS policies or being called out for source. I do have the case number. Any advice would be appreciated.

That info could possibly tie into theories concerning motive. Quite a few ifs & may end up being nothing new. Would be surprised if it were, as many are quite resourceful here.

ETA @AugustWest any help or advice - feel free to msg me.
Is this it?
ETA: sorry if this is against the rules I just remembered I had it in my drive from eons ago

Here’s a link that alludes to what I read yesterday. It is NOT the one I remember from yesterday, though. The one from yesterday described RA ‘vehemently’ - (I believe was the word used) writing the note which he passed to Baldwin, who passed it to Rozzi. The article I am trying to find also did not have all the misspelling as this one. For now though, here’s something:

10:39 a.m. - Brad Rozzi conducted the cross examination on Dan Dulan.

Rozzi said, “He (Allen) came forward, right?”

Dulan said, “Yes.”

Rozzi said, “He told you he was on his way to the grocery store?”

Dulan said he didn’t remember, but that was possible.

***& for the record I may be misremembering that Dulin agreed when asked if that was the way it went down. Maybe he did only say possibly. So frustrating when I can’t find exactly what I am looking for.
Is this the perhaps the article you remembered reading? It doesn't cover Rozzi clarifying during his cross examination about RA being already on his way to the store when Dulin called vs. randomly asking to meet there like the one you already posted but they do reference the note being written before Rozzi's cross.

On Feb. 18 2017— four days after the girls were found— Dulin was given the Richard Allen lead sheet. Dulin testified that he prefers to meet with people at their home or at a law enforcement office. He said, however, that Allen wanted to meet in a grocery store parking lot.
While Dulin was explaining this, Allen emphatically wrote a note to defense attorney Andrew Baldwin. Baldwin showed his partner Bradley Rozzi.
Dulin testified that Allen met him in the parking lot and they spoke for around ten minutes. He did not record the interview, but took notes on the back of the lead sheet.

Eta: here's another article that mentions Rozzi clarifying that RA "suggested meeting at the store because he was already on his way there".

My own opinion: Who's to say whether RA was really "on his way" to the store or not, no way to prove that one way or another now of course. Could've just as easily been a bit of quick thinking on his part to keep law enforcement away from his house & wife. (The fact that RA was apparently so "emphatic" in remembering and making sure everyone knew this only furthers my thinking)

There we go, family emergency. Call off the bounty hunter.

MOO

That was my assumption.

Not a lawyer but have been on juries.

AFAIK, jury duty is jury DUTY.

Once you’ve been accepted past voir dire and peremptory challenges, and are sworn in, it is your DUTY to continue until the end.

I hope all goes well for the juror who has a family emergency. That is one of the few reasons permitted, and the reason alternates are sworn in along with the twelve.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but has the court been dismissed today? This is going very late...

Hmmmm

Testimony resumes Saturday, which is the second-year anniversary of Allen's arrest. The prosecution is expected to call a DNA expert to the stand. The trial is expected to conclude in mid-November.

Maybe this pertains to the strand of hair found on Abby’s hand?

Yes it has. I have been watching the lives on YT - that’s how I know. Lol
Thank you!! TBH this trial has made my anxiety flare up, I hope nothing goes wrong/makes the whole process restart. I needed a break from reading about it, and didn't click on anything for 24hrs. I have the luxury to opt out, and I still feel anxiety. My heart goes out to the families and the jurors who can't ever just 'click away'.

Justice, soon. I hope.

It's a marathon, not a sprint. There are enough people following that you're not going to miss anything important. This goes for everyone here. Take breaks when you need to. Your mental health is important.

Well the expert did say so far nobody has disagreed with her.. likely nobody trained as an EXPERT like her would say her analysis is wrong. I'd be curios how many experts the defense asked to look at this evidence and analyze it?
D-team --Probably one only-- Tobin who really is not in the same league as the State's Fire Arm Expert.

I've been hitting this case off and on during the trial so forgive me if this was covered and I missed it. Was Ron Logan, the owner of the property, ever brought up in the trial? I know he died of covid years ago. At one time he was under investigation as a suspect.
He was cleared, I believe. D filed a request for a Franks Hearing & presented their Odinism theory. Judge denied their request because of lack of evidence of a nexus but is allowing them to submit their claims on record in case of an appeal but not in front of the present jury. I hope I got that more or less correct. You can search for the Delphi Franks motion & probably find it.
