If anyone wants a brief glimpse inside the trial and what the jury is seeing/hearing, I think here is really good opportunity with the final witness of yesterday, Dave Vido. He was called to describe the search of RA’s house and a lot of photos were shown to the jury. It appears knives and box cutters were everywhere, that would be creepy to me.

It also illustrates how quickly testimony is moving along for the jury, with the great volumes of information they must absorb that we hardly hear about, limited by tweets. JMO

I think it's my turn for the daily lament....

I hate that this trial is not being broadcast!

I’m curious to know - was it ever verified that the shots catfish account related to KAK actually contacted either of the girls on 2/13? I just never recall reading anything final regarding that.

I just got to the part at 1:22:00 where TL also apparently testified that there is no evidence that shows RA was on his phone looking at stock tickers that day. Sounds like another theory is proving correct, that his phone doesn’t appear in any of the tower dumps, which would be next to impossible if he was actually looking at stock tickers on the trails.

Well, we knew that using his phone was a load of lies based on the witnesses seeing him.... I say that was a lie along with watching fish in the river from the platform.

With the bridge height like it is, trust me, I am a fisherman and have looked at fish from many a bridge, that bridge was way too high to see anything but a giant carp. But fish in the wintertime go straight to the deepest water (which is not under the bridge) where it is warmer and just lay on the bottom. They are cold blooded so they barely move and thus conserve energy but they need what little warmth there is at the very deepest bottom.

I call BS on him saying he was watching fish. He didn't see a single fish and was probably using this excuse "looking like" he was watching fish as a ruse for people approaching him.

While Kline was never officially named as a suspect in the murders of Abby Williams or Libby German, investigators did uncover that German interacted with the “anthony_shots” account shortly before she was killed.

What was the actual question asked of RA regarding the picture?

Was it a direct is this you? Or more a do you recognize this man?

Only to the point of it’s a grainy picture and any number of men in the area could have been dressed like that and RA could conceivably have dressed like that and not be BG

Cousins and siblings on one side of my family look so similar up close (let alone at a distance and blurry) there have been vigorous debates about who is or isn’t in a picture, and it sometimes comes down to “wait that can’t be me” or “can’t be so and so” because of the location, who took the picture, figuring out who was and wasn’t at an event at the same time-

I’m NOT saying that is what’s going on here, but I can conceive of a scenario where his comment isn’t as totally bizarre as it sounds-

It could be me if it’s under XYZ circumstances and it’s not me if it’s from their phone because I didn’t see them… moo

And to save everyone the trouble- yes, it’s just one piece, and the case is about the sum of evidence together, and the 60+ confessions and tight timelines are important etc…

Just speaking to the fact that in my opinion and experience- it’s possible that it’s not totally whackadoodle - moo

My take on it:
Whatever the reason the girls were at the bridge, RA is accused of kidnapping and killing them. Nobody else is on trial but him, so evidence will be limited to him specifically.

I don't know why we would hear testimony about that, but maybe.

I mentioned it because I think it's likely the wife was accustomed to difficult mood swings in her husband. That's my opinion, not evidence.

The point is that the photo he was shown was of BG. He would have seen that photo countless times, so an appropriate answer would have been “that’s not me.”

It’s the apparent ignorance of the photo existing that’s incriminating.

When the interview resumed, Mullin showed him the “Bridge Guy” picture. Allen said if the photo was from one of the Delphi victims’ phones, “there’s no way” it could’ve been him.

Yes, and perhaps assessing how deep the water was, how steep the hills are, etc.

As a daughter, sister, and wife of avid fishermen who do look over bridges to look for fish, I actually don't doubt if he did that. But that's not ALL he did.

Here is a crazy thought.... what if near the end of this trial, it is totally evident to RA's lawyers and to himself, that he is going to be convicted and the only Hail Mary is for BG to testify himself... and he says something to the tune that the reason he was walking so fast towards the girls was that he saw ANOTHER MAN behind them and was walking to scare him off. And he told them to go down the hill to get away from the man, then he walked back to his car once he thought the danger had passed.

He didn't come forward to tell the officers about the other man because he felt so guilty for what eventually happened and his family would be so disappointed in him that he did not protect those girls.

it certainly wouldn't work.... but he not even that clever regardless?

To clarify, according to this article, here's the exact words Mullin used, when RA was shown a photo of BG:

"If the picture was taken with the girls' camera, there was no way it was him,'"

Richard Allen was not on Delphi investigators' radar. Then a volunteer found a box of tips.

Testimonies in the double-murder trial revealed how investigators focused on Richard Allen in 2022.

Imagine someone shows you a picture of yourself walking down the street. You might wonder where the photo came from, but you wouldn't say, "Well, if that's from a ring cam, it can't be me."

It's almost like an internal thought that slipped out loud. "If it's from the girls' phone, it can't be me [because...I got rid of their phone/they didn't have a phone/I deleted the video/etc]"

I’m just curious - I know Kline isn’t a suspect and I’m not placing him as such - just wondered if BG - RA could have known the girls would be there that day…with them possibly being in contact with Kline —-and then RA visiting Peru that same day - do we know where Kline lived, was located, anything that could assume they had a friendship or something strange to tip off RA to the girls going to the bridge. Could RA have been with Kline that day, in his way to see mom in Peru or anything like that.

I also don’t recall if they just announced that day “Hey we want to go to the bridge” and asked Kelsi to take them? All just thinking out loud. Thanks for any info!
